    Invincible mandragoras?

Last time I played FFXII I was fighting the mandragora group in the Sochen Cave Palace. I killed the Tomato Captain and King Allaune. However, after that, the remaining three mandragoras acquired 100% physical and magic resistance (i.e., they would parry all attacks and take 0 magic damage), making the fight unbeatable. I tried dealing with it for 20 minutes before giving up.

Is this a glitch, or is there some Garuda-like secret that I need to know?

I think they do a WS that increases evasion or something like that. You probably just have to wait it out.

What I want to know about those Mandragoras... is where are the other 11 of each of them in order to complete their entries in the Bestiary?

I just beat the mandies, myself. They show up in the bestiary section of The Feywood, though. Strange.

I didn't have any trouble with them, but I kept them dispelled... try that, maybe.

That's beacuse to finish the bestiary they spawn in the feywood. I was trying to spawn KB and so cleared out his zone and the zone right above his, went down to his and there were still mobs there. Then went back up to the other zone and mandies were there. So probably have to clear the zone above the one that brings you to Giruvegan to spawn 'em.

That is in fact what you have to do. It's a bitch, never worked right for me.

Also if you leave them up in that zone long enough they buff each other, eventually all hitting level 99, so kill them fast.

I repeated a few days ago and easily beat them. Maybe that is what was happening. Fight against the clock?

I really did hate that fight, though. It took me about 15-20 minutes total to kill them because the little shits were running all over the place. RL friend of mine won in less than one minute -_-

I turned off gambits and trained them til they were in a cluster and hit them with a good quickening chain. I think I did a Torrent which brought them to critical HP. After that, it was a mob-up mission, chasing them down and finishing them off. Pollen is mega-annoying. Hope they don't use it while you're training and it should be easy. Took me a few tries as Pollen did fuck me up, but when they didn't use it early, I won.
