Sigh we better not lose adult swim over this fucking stupidity in boston.
He resigned cause Americans as a whole are stupid... at least that is my translation.
I blame the government.
That's really sad. Why he is stepping down for something so innocent, and other people get away with much worse is beyond me.
The news article should have read:
President of the United States George Bush said he regretted the Iraq WMD scare and felt “compelled to step down, effective immediately, in recognition of the gravity of the situation & resulting war that occurred under my watch.”
Just when you thought Boston was a bunch of morons, this dumbass manages to 1-up them. Oh no ppl didn't understand the marketing strategy! Time to quit! In my opinion the marketing idea worked better than planned. Now a lot more ppl know about ATFH, and that's a good thing!
Actually, if you read down into the article, it didn't work at all. Sadly this will probably mean some other exec will pull the plug on ATHF.
All the publicity over the marketing stunt didn’t translate into much of a marketing boost for the show the network was trying to promote. The cartoon averaged 386,000 viewers last week among its targeted demographic of 18-to-24-year-olds, according to Nielsen Media Research. The previous week, the show averaged a virtually identical 380,000 among young viewers.
lolboston 4tl.
I'm pretty sure it was marketing for the new movie coming out soon. It said it was for the movie in one of the first articles posted on here about the scare.
This would have more impact if anyone still watched Adult Swim.
Maybe this Cartoon Network's idea of damage control? Maybe the board or some shit made him step down.
Excellent props to this guy, someone had to take the fall (Whether you think it was big or not, IT WAS).
And also props to CN for paying the 2mil pricetag for the city emergency response.
Judging by 386,000 viewers for ATHF alone... i think people do.Originally Posted by Duckroll
It's not really that bad if you look at it. He has the experience in his hand and was prob getting paid below what he should have, or was getting fed up.
He could have used this as an excuse to step down, have a good excuse (I didn't agree/like the way my previous company handled marketing strats etc as an example) gets another job that pays equal to more and has less to worry about.
Looks brilliant to me.
I will as long as they keep showing metalocalypse and they need ot hurry up with a damn DVD/CD for metalocalypse >|Originally Posted by Duckroll
hmm, something tells me he resigned for another reason. This guy isn't an idiot to get to where he was today. Let alone, I know I wouldn't throw away a position like that over some retarded people in Boston (unless offered a better deal at another station or something else.) Something says that this was just an easy out for him for something better.
12 is a bit too late for Adult Swim. They should start that shit at 11, and make ATHF a 30 minute show. Or show 2 back to back episodes of it. Maybe it was a big deal in Boston, but only because some fuckwad is an idiot and got scared. It didn't need to be this way.
I agree. I love that show.Originally Posted by Insanelol
