Nussnacker halp!

I hate this NM, a friend of mine camped it and went 1/9 in a couple weeks and i've tried to pick up where he left off cause i need the gloves too. But it's difficult since i dont know what his repop time is, i know that he's weather dependant but alot of times, the weather disappears 3-4 minutes before the Sand Lizards can respawn. I havent gotten it to pop once lol.

2 questions

What's his repop time?

Does weather disappearing between Sand Lizard respawns make Nussnacker's timer reset if he was about to pop?

If he has a cooldown, it's not very long. I've popped him twice in 90 minutes a time or two. And changing weather doesn't appear to do anything other than cost you a PH if the sandstorm doesn't come back by the time the PH pops.

does it have to be double earth? i know almost for certain i've seen KV pop in single weather

Nussknacker is likely related to Diamond Daig, who requires double-weather to pop.

Only real difference is that Nuss isn't 100% drop and I've never heard of anyone not getting Daig's drop.

Yeah, Nussknacker and Daig are double earth only. And yeah, the drop isn't 100% (1/29 here).

Diamond Daig is not 100% drop. I killed him once immediately before I killed the Nussknacker pop that dropped my Sand Gloves (out of boredom) and I didn't get the protecting bangles.

The fact that I killed him, then went and killed Nussknacker for the drop makes me wonder if their dropping loot is related to eachother. It would be pretty cruel of SE to require you to kill DD before Nussknacker to trigger the drop (especially with how long it takes me to kill him on NIN/THF), but there's stranger stuff in this game.

Personally, I avoid NMs named Nutsnacker.
