Weird Lag Issue

Anytime i seem to update FFXI now it lags out my entire PC not so much on the ram as it does the processor. It will consume 99% of my processor, however when running ffxi it only uses around 40-60%. I only lag out while updating, it makes it impossible to do anything but leave it alone and let it take 30 mins to get the update file. If i have music playing as well it lags that too. Iono has anyone seen this before?

I have a similar problem updating but it only occurs if I update in Windower. I don't know if you are, but if you are try updating without using Windower and it should work fine.
