Dagger on NIN?

I've got a Heart Snatcher that I'm working on unlocking as I skill up dagger for stuff like Limbus. I went from 194->208 in TBT last night, and will cap on Steelshells (eventually).

But I have two questions... Does Energy Drain/Steal count for the Heart Snatcher latent? I'd think it does, but wasn't 100% sure it's kind of an odd WS.

Which jobs/WSes would be good to SC to get the Evisceration dagger's latent off? I don't think I could close any level 3s, and don't know any L2s offhand either.

Energy Drain/Steal count, yes.

I remember doing Tachi: Kagero -> Gust Slash when I was working on my Dagger of Trials for a bit. I did it mostly solo so I don't know of any better combinations.

I remember Viper Bite closing distortion, jobs like NIN, MNK and RNG can open it.

It's worth the time it takes to unlock Evisceration before Heart snatcher, so you can make level 3 SC's with it.

It's NIN, solo EM and T steelshells for a while with Heartsnatcher and Misericorde.

It's not terribly difficult to skillup on a job that can solo well, with signet you can /thf for the evasion bonus traits too.

I maintain that to unlock Heartsnatcher he should unlock Evis, because otherwise he's going to be using a Heartsnatcher in limbus with Viper Bite and Cyclone on Adamantshells.

That's exactly what I did. NIN/RDM is virtually impossible to kill up there. Fast Cast, all your random buffs (Prot/Shell, Stoneskin/Phalanx (should you need it), Regen, etc), and dagger WS returning 60+ MP. Daggers swing fast, so should you have a decent haste setup, Anything/Hornet will be awesome for skills/WS count. Got my dagger from 202->230 (cap for NIN, and enough for Dagger of Trials) in just under two hours. KS/BS, and parry skills to boot!

I've been doing NIN/RDM and spamming Energy Drain I got to 200 on Robber Crabs and then went upstairs and did Steelshells to 220. Then I ran out of Hojo/Kurayami tools, so I mijin'd and am taking a break atm. Staring at crabs gets boring after a while.

I'm using Heart Snatcher/Garuda's to skill up because I may as well get some points on the HS worked off since I can't use Evisceration to work it off quickly yet anyway. And the 15/19 DMG takes 10 minutes to kill a crab, so it saves me time looking for stuff to kill with the RMTs -ga3ing everything and the half dozen BSTs exping. (I'll dump Garuda's and get a Misericorde or other decent dagger for Limbus etc later.)

I forgot about the Signet bonuses; I'll have to get it for next time.

NQ Misericorde costs 10k on my server, its really not a huge investment. But it seems like you've got the right setup going now.
