quick question for anyone that has a pair of these - do you just need to hit the mob once while wearing these to get the gilfinder effect? i ask cuz i assume treasure hunter+ items would work the same way (unless someone KNOWS otherwise). i don't like having to wear assassin's armlets for combat when i'm farming but wouldn't mind just macroing them in once.

Do people honestly use these things? I've never seen a THF get excited when it drops or anything, lol.

I tested it on shadow dragon 2 years ago, and you needed them equiped when the monster died as far as I can remember. TH and Gilfinder are probably calculated when the monster die, using everyone TH/GF value in the party.

Old LS friend always said it was a 5% bonus, and you just needed to hit/cast on the mob once with them on. He used to farm the NMs in Den of Rancor (where fudo drops). They drop static gil, so it's easy to see when it activates and for how much.

I keep a pair just so I can say I have every r/e Fafnir drop. (Unless you don't count the fact that most my abjs are uncursed NQ and I don't have the actual paper anymore.)
Also, big thanks to SE for making avansnuts equippable by PUP.
