Spoiled brat probably deserved it. He was probably doing something important, on a shoot, whatever, and was a dick to important people in order to make the call and she didn't give him the time of day, and has been ignoring him for some time. I'd get mad at her after a while too.

Plus his wife is being a dick to him and was trying to make him go off like this. I don't feel bad for the little girl at all, and it just makes Alec seem more "human" if you know what I mean.

I know my dad would get pissed at me if we had a set meeting time for him to call and I never picked up the phone. Finally, I love the name Ireland.

kids were far less fucked up when parents were allowed to actually discipline them, back in the days of principles and teachers using paddles to get the point across, public spankings, etc. now we can't smack our kids or say anything aggressive to them or it's a lawsuit.

and for the record, Kim Basinger IS a piece of shit, so i wouldn't be surprised if she's been working all along to get the kid to hate the baldwin guy and disobey him at every opportunity. as it is she did illegaly leak that tape when court order forbade it.

My little sister is 11, and she is like...the epitome of a disrespectful pre-teen child. And my dad doesn't take shit from her. He talks this way to her all the time, and honestly probably is setting her up to have terrible self esteem issues as she gets older. But that's how he disciplines her when she acts out and does stupid shit, talks back, does terrible in school, starts fights, etc., etc.

It's not that what he is doing is wrong, it's that she never ever ever evvvveeeer listens to him so he has to keep yelling at her. He's frustrated. He never hits her or anything like that, but I think verbal abuse can be just as bad sometimes.

Who knows if this is the first or fiftieth time that Alec Baldwin has tried to discipline his daughter? It's a private matter, and for whatever reason was on tape.

I highly doubt this is a career changing event though. This doesn't make Baldwin any less of a fantastic actor, and I don't think it makes him much less of a person. All parents get frustrated and yell at their dumb spoiled kids. This shouldn't be blown up and I don't think it should turn in to a lawsuit, but it's just what Basinger wants.

I agree with you completly, I think its fucking retarded that something like this got on tape. My eight year old sister is a total spoiled rotten bitch. She has it a hundred times better than what I had growing up. Hopefully she will realize that soon.
