Just a quick question about the fight, I've small-manned it with a couple mages before, but with a larger group would you still kite, or is it practical to straight tank?

Guess if u like eating -ga III you could hold it in one spot, I wouldn't suggest it though. Dots/SMNS/RNG are prolly the best dmg for this fight, plus all the running doesnt really effect rngs/smns as long as the smns use diabolos.
Kiting is best option. It can be done with 6 people, or soloed by rdm. I suggest a rdm either way for gravity. He's pretty straight forward, nuke or ranged attack or build TP from surrounding mobs then unleash onto NM then kite.
Alright, this is what I thought, but wanted to be sure, thanks for the info.
On a similar type of question ive been told this can be soloed by Rng also. Anyone who has done it care to share strats?
id say w.legs a must, /nin out run -ga always, shoot when he casts thunder4/burst shadowbind when its up...Originally Posted by Tofs
oh and kill it before he runs out of mp... cause i doubt a rng could take the aoes
It has been soloed by RNG, it takes 3+ hours and is a pain in the ass. RDM + RNG would expedite the process immensely for both parties. Even then it would still take over an hour.
The issue with straight tanking it is that unlike Kirin when melee swings will interrupt its casting fairly often, Gration intimidates like crazy, so the chances of that go down. Also AOE Grand Slam does a ton of damage.
This combo takes about an hour if you have a bard give double minuet on the rng when he doesnt have hateOriginally Posted by Wulfgang
