I was up visiting The Boyahda Tree when I noticed a group of players in trouble. Instantly I go to help defeat the nefarious Elder Goobbues and the fiendish Aquarius.
After a volley of Thundaga's, the black mages were in obvious trouble as they sleepga'd many mobs. I tried to help them by meleeing each yellow mob once and moving to the next yellow mob in a desperate attempt to get hate off the poor non english players who have more time than I do. Alas, one or two perished despite my attempt. I decide that /nin and meleein'g would not be able to save them fast enough. I park my other BST mule there to help them. Surely Diaga could save them where melee could not.
Unfortunately I DC right after Diaga'ing the cluster of goobbues, I am not exactly sure what happened. When I logged back in, I was disheartened to see this.

Several attempts ended the same way, damn my feeble connection for cutting out on me during these important moments. I even attempt to logout to fix my connection several times after saving them with diaga but the mobs are gone by the time I log back in and most of them are dead, very mysterious. Will have to investigate further.I pull my pet korrigan with dia and charm it immediately. Realizing the foolishness of pulling with a defense down spell and dot, I release it. Unfortunately as I release my pet, it gets caught in the thundaga storm. For some reason it kept waking up after their sleepga. I logout to investigate any possible bugs. I could not locate any notes on bugs so I log back in and rest near my new friends. They rest up, chatting with me. I did not understand their strange tongues, but I recognized GM in their text. I think they wanted to inquire about General Motors.
Their thief goes out to pull again. He brings back several Korrigans and Goobbues. After pulling, he waited in front of the black mages and neither I nor them casted anything and he died. I think there was definetly miscommunications between myself and their non english speaking group. Apparantly I was supposed to diaga them before they sleepga'd or thundaga'd. Oops, the monsters despawn. They decide to switch tactics and forego using thundaga.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...K/NoMoreGa.jpg They look like they are doing fine now so I go searching for a new group of players to help.
I notice Aquarius hanging out in the lower levels of the trees. In an effort to save the lower level players, I decide that Aquarius would be less dangerous if I moved him upstairs. My phone rings and I am forced to logout mid fight upstairs. Though I am satisfied with my current long distance plan, I consider switching as I log back into the game. Aquarius was unfortunately taken by another player. He thanks me for the gil that drops.

Encouraged by the thanks I received (I assume, my chinese is not very good) I decide to make this a daily activity. I found another alliance of taru BLM's beneath the waterfall destroying crabs with sync'd Freezes. I check their gear and notice they are all wearing eremite rings and seer's. They must have used all their money to buy freeze but they were working so hard, I wanted to help. Suddenly, I remembered the player that thanked me for the gil that Aquarius dropped. That's it I thought, I can bring them Aquarius and they can get some extra gil and some experience points all at the same time! While bringing Aquarius to them I got distracted. I found what I think is a group of notorious monsters called "Darters". I've only heard of them but never seen them in a screen shot. Without thinking, I logout to find out more information about them.

Oops, in my haste, I forget to tell them that I was pulling Aquarius all the way from the beginning of the zone.
I hope to be able to help them even more in the future. I hear their fishermen need company.
