    .dat file issues in reinstall

I recently purchased a new computer and have been trying to reinstall FF onto it. I have all the CDs and registration codes still; however, on the 2nd CD of the original FF package, setup cannot find a dat file on the CD:

    c:\program files\PlayOnline\Square Enix\Final Fantasy XI\rom\1\42.dat

The CD doesn't looked scratched at all, very annoying. Is there a way around this by downloading the .dat file off the internet? Or is there a better non-sketchy way to reinstall FF through an internet download or something? Im not a computer wizard but am fairly competent. Thanks ahead of time.

Edit: Im installing it on a DVD/CD-RW, Ive heard from various forums that this can be an issue for some reason. I know it happened to me when I was installing Warcraft III years ago. Couldn't install in the DVD drive, but worked in the CD drive; unfortunately, this is a laptop so I can't do that.

Might possibly work, if you have a buddy code thing. I don't think I've heard anything much about it, but if you have a account I don't see why not.

I ended up just going out and buying the Vana'diel collection for $20; saves me some space anyways, wasn't a big deal; installed it np. I suppose b/c the new pack is DVD.
