Posting this in here and not newbie since I saw window 3.3 posted here.
Does anyone have an update on if/when it will be fixed for 3.3?
In the interim what are the other parsers out there that work with the new update?

It should work fine... it runs independent of Windower.
I realize it runs independent of windower. The reference to windower was that it was posted here, so I figured another (separate) program would be ok as well.
What the OP means is that if you use the new Timestamp plugin with Windower DvsParse isn't going to work correctly.
my dvsparse hasnt worked since update for some reason.
are we sure about this? (I would think that would depend on 'how' the new plugin is altering the memloc for the chat structure.)Originally Posted by Epical
not saying you're not right, just wondering if it's been tested or not etc.
lysol: update broke it, it's already being updated. the dvs parse thread in technical support has the details.
op meant it didn't work at all.
Didn't think to look in technical support area, where I sea Div is working on it and it will be ready soon.
OP is correct, DvsParse won't work until me/divisortheory update it to the new memlocs. That issue will be fixed before the timestamping is looked at, seeing as how timestamping is optional and you can get around it if you want a parse done.
edit: and yes, there's a topic in Technical Support. Divisor has the new memlocs found I think, so be patient :D
Az, do us all a favor and post it here when it's updated![]()
Works already, just haven't uploaded the fixZhais also put a fix in so it works with Timestamp, so that should make it in too. I'll post here when it's up
Edit: Beated by zhais![]()
Question: Why don't you guys store the mem-locs in some sort of configuration file, then read them in when DVS Parse launches? Would save having to recompile and release every time SE messes with the memory layout. You can just distribute the latest mem-loc configuration file instead of a full recompile.
Also, how would I go about submitting a formal bug report? It seems the evasion tracking gets lost if 2 different mobs are attacking you at once. Like when I farm Wild Karakul and they pop Chigoes, my evade rate shot up over 200% last time I parsed it.![]()
Pre-Patch my Evasion was 300% on RDM fighting one mob, it never picked up enspell dmg either, but since I wasn't fussed about either stat I never bothered to report it.Originally Posted by Hakamaru
Is the new version up or will there be an official notice made? Parser is made of too much win to be without.
As long as we're going on about random bugs, I have never been able to get the WS Accuracy report fields to work. I don't think its an issue with chat filters because I can see in the log when I hit/miss.
Not a big deal, its just one of those little things I've always wondered about. Would be nice to know exactly how well/poorly I'm doing in that regard.
I LOVE dvsparse- and can't wait to get back to parsin
My ONLY complaint is that I wasn't able to parse against 2handers-- certainly not anyone's fault, but I wanted to see some hard data on what exactly the deal was.
ANYWAY- Big Props to dvsparse- keep up the great work!

I think I noticed that too just recently. Gonna make a note of it when I have time.Originally Posted by Theo
other than that, an update will be out when divisor packages it up, or if you have the proper tools just download the source code and compile.
I'd like to add that in Win XP Home, DVS is not shutting down properly when exiting, it's still active in my memory once shutdown.

Indeed. definitely plan to do that as soon as possible, it's a priority.Originally Posted by Hakamaru

I'll have the correct stuff uploaded in a while, heading out for a bit then I'll have time to fix my mistake. Current 1.7.3 has the wrong file in it ;; my fault.
Alright, DvsParse 1.7.3 is released and working. Sorry for the delay in getting it out, should be a lot quicker next update.

It is also compatible with the new Windower's Timestamp function, so no worries there :D
