Windoer Instilation Issues with Windows Vista

I was informed that there is a program that makes it so that I dont have to play FFXI in full screen mode. I tried downloading it and all that jazz. And for some reason when it starts up Playonline and then goes to start the game. It brings up an error message and wont let me run the windower.

I am running it on a Brand new HP Gaming PC that came installed with Vista. Is there a special download somewhere that will fix this probelm of not being able to open the game with windower? Or did anyone find a special way to set up the computer so that windower will work with the PC/Game?

right click, run as administrator

You'll find the option to run FFXI in windowed mode in FFXI's options panel, no need for an extra programme.

Disable User Account Control (UAC) and always run launcher.exe as an Administrator.

Windower > FFXI official windower, in my opinion. :D

I installed Windower Light and it works. But is it just me or does everything shrink after its installed? Even in full screen mode the chat channels and everything are tiney. The font and menus are so small I can hardly read them. Its killing my eyes ;_;.

It's the game resolution that's being changed by windower. Personally, I like it that way, it annoyed me too when I started using windower, but now I wouldn't want it any other way.

I do believe you can change it in the windower.ini file. Open it in Notepad and edit the resolution to something lower (if you didn't mess with any of your FFXI settings when you first installed the game, I'm gonna guess it's probably 800x600 or 1024x768).
