    Creepy or Creepy

I'm going to word this as though it's hypothetical, I know you'll see right through it, so I'll tell you it is not, but I feel like it's easier to explain in the third person.

You know how you have like 'friends' that are actually part of a group of friends, and some of them you call and hang out with all the time, but others while you see semi-frequently(In this particular case a little under once a month over the course of about 5 years now) you would never really call w/o the rest of the group getting together. For a girl that you know in this reguard is it creepy to get her number from a friend and call her to ask her out?

it's not a confidence thing at all, I'm absolutly 100% certian she would give me her number if I asked in person, it's just we hung out weekend before last and had a good time, and it could be upwards of a month before I see her again. Weather she will be interested in going on a date or not I have no idea, I honestly haden't thought about it before, hence why I passed up the oppertunity then.

So is this an ok thing to do, or is it creepy? I can answer questions if you need me to be specific about something.

Show up at her door soaked in rain with a handful of her favorite flower.

But srsly, if she's been your friend for 5 years and you need to ask us if it's ok to ask her phone number, you're already doomed to fail.

Just start out with, "I don't mean to sound creepy.."

Call her and breathe heavily into the phone for a min or two so she gets all hot and bothered, and then ask her out.

Oh, and text her a smiley face, I hear they love that shit.

    mabye I was unclear

the question is, is it ok to get a girl's number from somebody else?, the rest is just details seeing as shit is situational.

Sounds perfectly fine to me (at least in this instance), but who the fuck knows with girls.

I'd say just do it now, if you had a particularly good time last weekend with her and she had a good time as well there's no reason why she should see it as creepy. What you COULD do is make something up to break the ice. Such as: asking about something you lost when you last saw her, a question about a subject she's particularly familiar with (like, "I was arguing with my friend over this..." etc), if she's related to someone you met with the same last name... It could go on for a while. I don't know if I completely recommend this method since it involves lying but it's pretty solid.

If you've known her on and off for 5 fucking years, yeah get her number however and just call her, if she thinks it's weird that you have her phone number after 5 years then ...well, you're completely and hopelessly doomed, so at that point does it really matter if it's creepy?

Basically, if how you obtained her number is a sticking point, then you have no chance. So get her number however you can and ask her out.

if the third person doesn't ask don't worry about it. And if they do, well you are friends and owe an explanation(of any sort). However I'd say if you have the chance to ask in person do so. If you don't feel right doing that ask for their aim or something along those lines.

Depends on her, she may or may not find it "creepy." I wouldn't do it though, since I'd rather ask her myself, even if I had to wait a month.

could always have whichever friend get her to call you for some random reason

after she's done talking you can say

    "You had me at hello."

    Re: Creepy or Creepy

Get her number from a friend and text her saying Hi.

When she texts back asking who it is say:

"Hey it's me, [your name],with the [color] hair, the guy who always hangs out with you and [insert friends name here]? I'm the tall one you always see next to [that guy] when we go to [insert last time you guys hung out here]?"

Then she'll feel bad and be like "omg all you had to say was [your name!]... what's up?!"

Then you're in the clear without looking weird.
