    Killer Trait's Question

Do Killer Effects stack? Like say dragon killer on hrotti + baha mask... do they stack for a more potent Killer effect or is it the same?

    Re: Killer Trait's Question

I think it increases the chances for it to go off. I think if you have multiple pieces of a killer effect, whatever formula the game uses to determine intimidations, it's checks twice, once for Hrotti then again for Baha's Mask (or however many pieces you pocess). Then again I could be completely wrong and the highest potency overrides like TH4 overrides TH2 instead of stacking. But I do believe Killer effects stack.

    Re: Killer Trait's Question

Yes, they should stack. I'm sure there's a % boost not shown for each killer effect individually.

Beastmasters can merit "Killer Effect" which I think is a 1% boost to all killer effects.

I'm fairly certain that people have stacked things like "Tatami Shield" and the BST AF(+1) pants' Killer Effect contributions and added them to the inherent killer effect totals.

However, the native trait (BST's or BLU's via spell setting) is still the most potent at around 8% activation rate IIRC. But stacking merits (5% for Killer Effect) and food/equipment can get you to a more respectable number. It's still a novelty thing when it does go off though.

tl;dr: I think they stack. I'm fairly certain when Tatami Shield came out somebody must have done a stacking check.

    Re: Killer Trait's Question

Certain pieces stack and some don't. Hrotti + Tatami Shield was quite popular for a while. I have now idea whether Hrotti and B's Mask stack. An example of the stuff not stacking, supposedly is Flawless Ribbon and Tatami Shield.

I've got both, but a test to see whether or not they would stack would require literally thousands of tests. Because the rate on the ribbon is 1-2% and the rate on the tatami is 1-2%. Where is this test data that shows that Flawless Ribbon and Tatami don't stack? They're very ineffective, alone or together, but I assumed they stacked.

Fighting Tiamat, you'll be lucky to intimidate her more then twice a fight with mask. I tried a fight with Hrotti equipped with the mask to see if it made any difference, and it did not.

Don't be silly. Dragon Killer effects only proc for spells cast by Red Mages when are casting in Crimson Scale for Max MP.

Seriously, it seems like it is at least 20% or so. >_>

    Re: Killer Trait's Question

Is it proven that CHR+ can increase chance to intimidate from a killer effect? >_>
Remember seeing/reading that somewhere, forgot where though.

No, it was shown to be a static effect in every test I've seen, and from messing around myself. Certain mobs or NMs may just have decreased chance of intimidation, doesn't seem to be related to level correlation or stats, otherwise you should see much higher proc rates on TW mobs than t/vt/it, but you don't really.

If it's a mob that spams TP attacks, the intimidation rate may seem lower, but that's because they can't proc on TP moves at all.

easy test: blu, plantoid killer, tiny mandragora. stack -chr like oscar scarf and tarasque mitts and record % intimidated across 1000 swings. repeat with lots of errant for +chr. repeat experiment on EP mandra in tree. this isolates both chr and lvl.

I've done that a long time ago, but not with mangragora, and not with chr- gear. I tested with a massive amount of TW efts at bibiki bay (at intulo spawn) in brd gear (errant body/legs, jesters cape +1, chr rings, chr from spells, etc.) and lizard killer, and got 7.something% intimidation. After soloing some of the t tartarus efts (was not a good choice for this test... they are nasty to fight) in normal haste/solo gear, I got 10.something% proc. Fairly consistent with other tests that show a 8% static proc I think.

Proc from my nq demon slayer doesn't seem to increase on TW mobs either, so I doubt other gear is any different.
