    Any book pirates here?

I need help finding a pdf for a book I need for class, except google isn't helping and I have no idea where to start elsewhere. The book I ordered was the wrong one and the correct one won't be here for another couple of days. I would greatly appreciate any help you guys could give me. Book I'm looking for is Go! With Microsoft Access 2003 Comprehensive.

tried for a good 20 minutes.

did you try the google trick:

    <intitle:"index.of" go! microsoft access comprehensive>

couldnt find anything under that syntax, perhaps other variations of that might turn up some results.

    good luck dmitry.

Can you elaborate on that google trick? I'm guessing I can just modify it to:

    Code:
    <intitle:"index.of" [title of book]>
Right? What other neat google tricks do you know?

that's really it, with some modifications. for instance, if you put -html -htm -php at the end of that string it gets rid of alot of bogus hits. if you include the file type at the end, you can specify which file types you want. like so: (mp3) (pdf).

when i look for music, it would be like this:

    intitle:"index.of" U2 beautiful day (mp3) -html

whaddya know? 5-6 perfect hits on the first page.

videos follow a similar form, but are harder to find since there's even more bogus sites.

    intitle:"index.of" <movie> (mpeg) (avi) (mpg)

    hope that helps!

P.S. i havent needed another way to download music in 2 years. everything else sucks compared to this. 400-500 kb/s download speeds--and you're indexing the entire FTP internet.

This is basically what http://www.seeqpod.com does, right? But just they have a sweet algorithm that searches and indexes (and uses other variations on the filename)?

Ah geeze, thanks for the help guys.

I'm so frustrated with all this right now since I've been searching every torrent site I could find, but to no avail. I still have about an hour left so hopefully I can find something, just wish I'd have paid a little more attention when ordering the book instead of just worrying about saving money. College is definitely not going

correct. you can even bypass seeqpod to download it yourself with this tool. sometimes what i try to do is search on seeqpod, find the domain, and just use google to download it from there for free.

    Re: Any book pirates here?

You can search this with a bookmark, I use google as my personal music site. (Firefox only):

1: Bookmark any site, doesnt matter. Go into your book marks and right click on it and go to properties.

2: In the Name part name it Google Music or anything you want.

3: in the address part copy and paste which one you want:

    Music:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=-inurl%3 ... html%7Cphp)+intitle%3A%22index+of%22+%2B%22last+modified%22+ %2B%22parent+directory%22+%2Bdescription+%2Bsize+% 2B(wma%7Cmp3%7Cogg)+"%s%"

    PDF/DOC:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=-inurl%3 ... html%7Cphp)+intitle%3A%22index+of%22+%2B%22last+modified%22+ %2B%22parent+directory%22+%2Bdescription+%2Bsize+% 2B(pdf%7Cdoc)+"%s%"

    Videos:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=-inurl%3 ... html%7Cphp)+intitle%3A%22index+of%22+%2B%22last+modified%22+ %2B%22parent+directory%22+%2Bdescription+%2Bsize+% 2B(avi%7Cwmv)+"%s%"

You need to make different bookmarks for each so dont paste them all.

4: Add a keyword to your bookmark. For music add music for pdf add pdf for a video add video or something along those lines, something easy to remember.

5: Then go up in your address bar and type your keyword + what you're looking for.

    So music:

    music ACDC

    I get this:

    http://ljdw.free.fr/Doderezik/ACDC%20-% ... 20Hell.mp3

    Re: Any book pirates here?

Thanks everyone. I think I'm just gonna go home and wait for my book to come and then catch up on the work I miss, since I've found everything from Access 2003 itself to every other book for it except the one I need. My coworker got me sick anyway, so at least it gives me an excuse to cut my 12 hour day short to get some rest. See ya in a bit.

Seeqpod used to just display the file URL right next to where you search for it, so you could just copy/paste/save-as and it was basically the most amazing music program ever. They had to remove the file URLs due to copyright issues though, so now if you want to DL from Seeqpod it's a little more difficult, but still not much of an issue.
