I got a new router and my sister installed it because I know next to nothing about routers. But everyone gets good connection but me, I can go under websites but I just randomly Dc on XI. I heard something about opening ports? How do I go about doing this.

I was following the website but my router is a Belkin G plus mimo. An it isn't under there
I tried to open ports anyways and I can now go from staying on for 5mins to 30mins. This sucks so bad. Anyone got any idea what I should do next?
