He's a nice enough guy but got emo a lot and didn't get on with many people. Didn't think it was possible to stun firaga III and refresh the nin/drks at the same time as Tiamat. I'm not sure how he was as a leader in Chikara, I'm sure lots of people thought he was good.

Actually thats not at all what I said. I said I was unable to do everything at Tiamat they wanted me to do. And I provided math for the mp costs of spells, how often I had to cast them, my total MP, how much MP I recieved from refresh, etc, and proved it wasn't possible to do everything they wanted constantly.

So lets take a look again shall we? And maybe you'll all get it this time.

/drk I have 674 base MP.
At the time I had dalmatica, and wore it about 75% of the fight. (probably less)
so 75% of 10 min is 7.5 minutes. (since we're counting by convert cycles we're using 10 minutes as the time frame for when your mp is refilled)
a 1 mp tick will get you 20mp per minute. (1 tick every 3 sec, 60 divided by 3 =20)
so 7.5x20 = 150. 150+674=824(total mp so far)
Now, when Tiamat flys I got ballad2, and only when tiamat flys did I get any ballad. Tiamat spends an equal amount of time on the ground and in flight. So basically I got ballad 2 50% of the time. 50% of 10 minutes is 5 minutes.
A 2 mp tick for 5 minutes will give you (40mp per minute regained) 200 MP (40x5=200)
So now 200+824 = 1024 MP for the 10 minute cycle so far.
Now for refresh. Refresh never wore off (I'll explain this later) So thats 3mp tick for 10 min. 3mp a tick is 60mp per minute. 60x10=600, so there's another 600 mp.
1024+600=1624 so I had 1,624 MP every 10 minutes (convert cycles) that I could use.

Tank party setup was rdm, brd, tank x2 or 3, whm x1 or 2

Now lets talk about what you are expected to do as a rdm at Tiamat with PO.
First up is stunning firaga, and everything is based around stunning firaga, and when Tiamat casts it so this is the biggest point. Basically this is how it works, after you stun a firaga, you refresh someone, then have 15 seconds to cast something else, then refresh another person, then wait for firaga to come again to stun. starting from the beginning of the fight it would look like this;
1.refresh myself > haste myself (so stun would for sure be up when I needed it again) > refresh someone > stun firaga.
2.refresh someone > stoneskin myself > refresh someone > stun firaga.
3.refresh someone > dead time > dead time > stun firaga > back to #1.

The areas marked 'dead time' is the few seconds in which I could do random things that didn't always need to be done, like cure myself (cause no one else would) recast stoneskin, cast slow or blind.

Now as for the time between steps 1 to the end of 3, I don't really know how often Tiamat casts Firaga, it's something like every 40 seconds. What Im going to do to get a time is simple though. From the time I refreshed myself to when I would have to do it again, it did not wear off. Refresh lasts 2.5 minutes. So if I was casting it .00001 seconds before it wore off then that means this cycle takes 2.5 minutes, which means it happens 4 times in 10 minutes. That makes this alot easier too btw, even though the cycle really only takes just over 2 minutes.

Now lets talk MP costs!
refresh; 40mp
haste; 40mp
stun; 25mp
stoneskin; 29mp
cure IV; 88mp
regen; 15mp
slow; 15mp
blind; 5mp

Now all thats left is tallying up how much MP I needed to use every 10 minutes! this is where it gets fun.
based on just the cycle posted above, thats 3 stuns, 5 refresh, 1 haste, 1 stoneskin every 2.5 min. so we need to multiply all those numbers by 4 to get how many casts there are in 10 minutes. so we're looking at;
12 stuns, 20 refreshes, 4 hastes, 4 stoneskins in 10 minutes.
Plus I just converted, so I better cure 4 myself twice so I have at least 850 hp since no one else ever cures me. Then I can use regen to heal me the rest of the way, and negate damage taken over what stoneskin absorbs from wing and touchdown and different things. Oh plus I have to keep slow and blind on it when the ninjas cant land it so they dont get killed. So lets assume I cast 4 regens on myself during this 10 min, and 2 slows and 2 blinds. How much MP is that?
well...... let's all count shall we?
12 x 40 = 480 (stun)
20 x 40 = 800 (refresh)
4 x 40 = 160 (haste)
4 x 29 = 116 (stoneskin)
2 x 88 = 176 (cure4)
4 x 15 = 60 (regen)
2 x 15 = 30 (slow)
2 x 5 = 10 (blind)

Add that all up and you get 1832 MP used every 10 minutes. How much MP did we figure out I had? 1624? OK WAIT! YOURE USING MORE MP THEN YOU HAVE????? HOW???? Oh wait.... you cant....
Also please keep in mind the following, I did not take into account things like ninjas crying cause they need protect after canceling and the whm is resting and I cast it. Or the time I spend with virus on and not actually getting MP refreshed from the spell Or the fact that it doesnt take 2.5 minutes for the cycle to complete itself, it takes about 2, so it should have at least 2 more refreshes and 1 stun in the total for mp used. And lots of other things! This list is very incomplete for what you actually have to do.

And now, quite frankly you can all understand why I told them I could not do everything they wanted at Tiamat the way it was now. I suggested things like, why don't we have the tanks on the left foot and I'll stand back a bit from the right foot and the brd can keep ballad 1 and 2 on me full time so I have more mp. But what happen? I was ignored, cause the main click of PO was to big headed to see what I was saying. (and they didn't like me. (^.^) )


As for being kicked out of PO....
well there's a big differance between telling the LS leader about 20 times to get another RDM there cause I was leaving and quitting the LS, before he finally broke my pearl.... and being kicked out. What do you think Im a giant faggy douche? Should I have CFH'd the Tiamat they were fighting and took off my pearl so I could keep it to get tod's? Or should I have waited there for them to get another rdm, and break my pearl? I choose option #2 because Im not a giant prick, and I didn't want something like that following me around. As much as I didn't like some of them I was not going to stoop to their level.

As for MPKing at hakutaku.... I remember trying to help those gimps shouting for help in whitegate, I offered to tank and they said ok. Then they realized I was a RDM and thought RDM couldnt tank, so I made fun of them a bit and said I could, but they kicked me from the alliance in the forest, how exactly did I try to mpk them when -I left after they kicked me from the alliance, in the forest?-

No I did all that math about an hour after the first tiamat where I had to refresh 5 people instead of 2 or 3 when I noticed it wasnt working, then I talked and complained about it for about 3 months before I got fed up and quit.

As for Hakutaku, I had friends in that ally who took the time to complain Kamugi was MPK'ing, and when I did a search, Kamugi was in Den of the Rancor. Forest story= moot.

So... I was thinking just now, how do you MPK someone at Hakutaku?
Maybe you could aggro heckeyes, drag them on top of the alliance fighting it, sleep them and log out. Then after you log out they will despawn... no that wont work...
Oh! You could spam cure someone in the alliance to get hate.... no wait that would just make you die.....

besides what's been said

1. why don't you have two ballads all the time?
2. unless your tanks are inept, there is no reason to stun tiamat while she is flying because your tanks should have their fire resist gear equipped.
3. paladins have shield bash, nin/drks have stun (yes it lands). have them use it once in a while.
4. no reason -at all- you should be getting virused
5. in all honesty, my LS usually doesn't have the tank pt RDM stun unless we're short on people, but it definitely is doable while still doing all of your other duties well
