Huge-ass snowstorm here, so I wouldn't have been able to get to a midnight opening, let alone find one in the area that didn't cancel due to the weather.

Will be getting my copy on Monday instead.

sadly no for me, because i'm out of town with my best friends at an anime convention, i'm coming back the day of the release tho, I'm sending my parents to go pick up my reserve copy at the local gamestop tomorrow, so it'll be waiting for me when i get back. :D

Showed up at 12:05 didn't think there'd be a line seeing as it was 32 degrees outside. Joke was on me, as there was a pretty long line considering we have like 4 gamestops in the near by area (Northern Jersey, not too far from NYC). Waited 45mins in the cold which sucked ass, but I felt worse for the one employee at the door who was letting people in about 10 at a time. Poor bastard forgot his jacket was out there in a tshirt lol. To be honest the scene looked like a line for a club with the guy at the door a bouncer.

On an unusual side note, there were a lot of kids there in line, some with parents others sans parent. I did see alot of moms in cars, looking like they just basically told their kid to go stand in cold while they waited in car lol. Was interesting to see little 9 year olds mixed up with alot poorly shaven disheveled college guys. Was certainly an interesting site. All in all though the game was worth waiting in line.

Haha. I bugged the manager at the stored I had to work at all night to let me be in the tournament. He ended up putting all 3 of us working in to fill out the last couple of spots anyway.

The first time we got the tourney going, it somehow set everyone on CPU. So, after we get everyone's names in again, we remember to pick characters too, except the employees got random -_-. My match was with some kid's parent who didn't know what he was doing and I had to toss it too. Oh well, overall, shitty night.

Went to Best Buy around 1pm today, they didn't even have it. So went down the street to Walmart, they had like 40+ copies when I arrived.

I went to gamestop at around 7pm sat, asked the guy about how many copies they would be getting, I was wondering if it be worth been awake at midnite for it. He said he didnt know but I could reserve a copy and get it later. I said fuck that, went home woke up the next day 9am got it at walmart no problem.
Turns out walmart also had a midnite release. Who thunk it.
