It took me years, years to hypnotize myself to the state where I believed there is only one Highlander movie and that they never made sequels. I was happy. Now they are really trying to make me unhappy in ways that they couldn't achieve with Transformers.

Though the series went to shit after the first movie, it "officially" died when they killed off Christopher Lambert (who was beyond awesome) and let the TV show Highlander (sucked tremendous amounts of ass) survive. I also refuse to acknowledge the existence of a Highlander movie that isn't the original.

I guess I must be the only person on Earth who thought the TV show was better then the Original movie. I've always thought the first Highlander movie is downright awful.

I liked all the Highlander iterations except for III, I think. The show wasn't a bad time killer for the slot it usually aired on.

Can we lobby congress to make a law that prevents movie studios from remaking movies when the main actors are still alive.

Sadly, all it would mean is that the studios would hire assassins to speed up the process...

It has a potential to be very good, but I just don't know. Any Highlander without Queen's epic "Who wants to live forever" might not do it for me.

And aye to the non-creativity, yet we still do have many gems from the last generation.

I highly doubt a remake of Highlander could do any further damage to the original movie that Highlander II did. Seriously, did you see that affront to film? It's in my Top 5 worst movies ever, and may very well be #1. And not in the "So bad it's good" way that Showgirls, UHF, and any movie starrting Jean Claude Van Damne are.
