Hello lvl62 BRD here with a ? having some trubels with lullaby,just did a pt on colibri's and had alot of resist's and the weird thing was elegy was np to get to stick so idk what to do.

My gear is decent was using hq staff and about +33 CHR +12 wind skill and +8 singing skill,
so i'm thinking maybe i'm alitte lite on CHR or somthing, not sure since elegy was np, but maybe change my wind skill ring's for CHR ring's for lullaby would help or somthing, and maybe even that and get a pair of melody +1 earring to instead of singing and wind earring any thought's ?.It's just that i suck @ pulling when i'm starting to feel unsecure about my lulaby's, lol so would relly be happy with some feedback

The freak resists happen every once in a while, and yeah they suck when they happen.

Those stats are pretty sound for that level, if you ask me, and you've got HQ staff, which is an automatic plus. I don't remember having many resists on Colibri and I had about the same stats. HQ staff, Bugard +1, Mary's Horn, Noble's Ribbon, CHR +3 neckpiece, Singing/Wind Earrings, Minstrel's Coat, AF, CHR rings x2 (didn't have the wind skill rings, I don't think they were out yet... don't remember), Jester's Cape +1, Gleeman's Belt, AF, and Cobra Unit Pigaches. Pretty much had the best available at 62 at the time for landing debuffs.

Were you using Mary's Horn with Lullaby? I'd assume so, provided your stats from gear.

Yeah was using mary's it's just i don't get it was pulling with elegy and got a total of 4 resist that pt, and was maybe lullabying 1/3 of the mob's and stopped counting @10+ resist's but idk maybe it get's better when i get a lvl or 2, and maybe it has somthing to do with last time i pulled that was on bird's outside nashamu with like 0 resist hehe

String has lower natural accuracy by nature than Wind. The only reason to even bother using string would be to have a wider range. It sees more justification buffing - situationally. If I'm in a BLM PT in dynamis (I'd much rather be in a melee PT, I'm more useful there), I'll use it for ballad for example.

That being said, if one decides to use it for Horde Lullaby (never use it with Foe Lullaby, no justification there), use more string gear and more CHR in place of the wind skill slots. Choral Cannions, Wind Earring, Trumpet/Nereid Rings do nothing whatsoever for String.

Theres nothing you can really do about Colibri giving you shit. I've got an ungodly amount of wind skill, CHR, whatever on my BRD75 and Greater Colibri'll still resist you. Something you can do to combat this is sub NIN if you already aren't; Six shadows will give you more than enough protection for when lullaby says no. Colibri are bitches anyhow, so losing out on /WHM isn't losing out on much.

If you're in a party with decent kill speed you can just blinktank the bird until they've killed the one(s) they're currently dealing with. If you do that you might be late on the next pull though, so you have to be a bit careful.
