It's like a cross between an RTS and a small type MMO. There are guild-type things called Convergences. It's just leaving beta testing today and players will finally be able to reach higher levels for the first time since they would reset the "era" periodically during alpha/beta. If you signup before 4 AM you'll get a free month of premium and some other perks for being a "beta tester" I think. Otherwise it's still a completely free RTS online game which is pretty fun from what I've played.

Of course, everything is more fun when you know people on it and you can get competitive with eachother/against others so if you're interested just post your account name. If enough people start and are remotely serious about playing it occasionally we can make a convergence too.

Remember when you downloaded Dreamlords: The Reawakening, and you logged in for the very first time and had nothing nor any idea what you were doing? Thursday will be just like that, except this time you will know what to do, and everybody will be starting fresh at the same time! We, the testers, will play by ourselves (with each other but without the public) for almost a month until the game is released to the public. We will be playing in Era #1 (I believe) and later this month, when the public joins us, they will join us in Era #2, in which we will keep what we received from era #1. The purpose of this, as stated by David Rosén, is to have a firm community in place when the public starts playing.

Looks like I misunderstood. Download the client/make your account asap because new players won't be allowed for a good month apparently.

I've been playing this for the past 7 eras. It really is a piece of crap. I don't plan to log into it ever again once it leaves Beta.

It's fun and it's free. Don't bitch about free games being shitty. Also it has an EVE style system where you learn stuff while you are even logged out which is nice. Gives players a variety of ways to play the game.

Dreamlords now is not even the same game it was during the last couple of Alpha eras. The people making it have no idea where they want the game to go, and no idea how to balance a video game. Just because it's been free for a little while doesn't mean those problems don't exist.

Alpha was totally different than the game is now from my understanding and they postponed release to ensure the game was how they wanted it to be. I'd say you were making stuff up at this point because the game is extremely balanced.

You can bitch about free games being shitty all you want. If a game sucks, it sucks, regardless of its price tag (or lack thereof).


And for this record, this game sucks complete ass.
