Assuming an average guy with an average face, try not to cop out with a "It depends on the guy".

clean/light, depends on face >_>
I usually rock the goatee with a clean shave on the rest but that article made me think twice.
My girlfriend says its best when I'm clean shaven or about 2-3 days after a clean shave. There's a 1-2 day period after a shave where she says it's too prickly and it kinda hurts.
Been awhile since i kissed a guy, so can anyone confirm this?
My girlfriend hates when I don't shave. She says it's like sandpaper.
IT DEPENDS ON YOUR FACE
I like stubble on my face. I don't like it on anyone else's.
I think this is pretty hot imo

Seems like a lot of people prefer clean shaven. >.>
This is because people in the US now a days have hair phobia.
Effectively, the only hair you will one day find will be on top of a woman's head.
Since I don't have a job yet I've been leaving a light layer of stubble on my face and I have gotten several compliments from girls that it looks really good on me and increases my sex appeal!

Day 1 stubble feels like crap.
Day 2-7 feels ok. 7+ feels shaggy until I hit beard/goatee territory.
I always have stubble on my face a couple of hours after shaving. My wife tends to complain that its rough but that's about it.
Chicks dig the stubble for sure.
My girl prefers a clean shave, but some of the other girls on campus said I look better with the light layer of stubble. It's much more manly.
Stubble hurts and irritates, especially in sensitive areas.
Shave it.
because you didnt let me pick "depends on the guy" i put no preference. I like masculine guys, but you can be masculine with or without facial hair. I've pretty much found all ranges of facial hair attractive on different men (short of any non-traditional style really,) but it really depends on the guy (and how i first saw him)
Like others, I'll answer on behalf of my girlfriend. I think I can give a good answer with some authority as we just had a conversation about this a few days ago. She likes me best with longish stubble, the kind that's there after at least three days of not shaving. I should mention that's I'm a very typical "five o'clock shadow" kind of guy who's beard grows very quickly and thickly. I personally think my face looks better with stubble than cleanly shaved; I guess having a somewhat fine featured face makes me look perpetually 14 when it's all taken off.
The thing that sucks is that I'm starting a new job this Wednesday; a professional government position I've wanted for quite some time. For the last six months I've been unemployed/working as a carpenter's mate and have shaved about once every week (with a bit of stubble trimming in between). So, looks like I've got to be shaved neatly for a while until I get adjusted to this work place. It was so much easier to just roll out of bed, eat breakfast, and go to work without much regard for how you look at a construction site.
