Update FFXI after reformating during maint?

I just reformated my computer and was wondering if there was any way to update my FFXI during maint. (not the current patch) but the patch before it, so i dont have to sit through the long update after servers are back up. any help would be much appreciated ^^

As long as POL is online you could run Check Files from there, it should patch FFXI even if the play servers aren't up.

i did check files and it just checked files, it didnt update anything :\ i reformated and have a new install of ffxi and jw if its possible to update it to the latest patch (not the 8/4/08) while maintenance is going on, so i dont have to do a lot of big updates when servers come up :\

That's weird, it should update anything that's not up to version spec.

Guess you'll have to wait, that's the only other way to invoke anything like a version update :/

They're replacing hardware, quite possible the update server is offline.
