    Jim Henson.

No real reason for this post. I am just in a very sentimental mood right now. Has anyone else's life been touched by Jim Henson as much as mine?

Seriously, this man changed the way I think about life. And it's people such as him that make me realize that I will achieve greatness in life, and that it's not really that hard, and to embrace each and every day.

Just watch this video and tell me it doesn't do anything...

This video is from Jim's funeral, and Big Bird is singing it because Jim is dead, therefore Kermit, voiced by Jim, can't sing it.

    It's just so moving.

It's back up... man that's really depressing when he gets to like half crying as he sings in the end.

Didn't really get to me....but I LOVED it when Big Bird just slinked his head down as he walked off the stage. That's classic Big Bird right there.

Jim Henson and Star Wars (the good ones) defined my childhood. I loved the Muppet Show, and still watch the DVDs I found in the grocery store about a year ago. I got Muppets in Space and all the good ones.

    In honor of Mr. Henson:

Sesame Street (ERNIE!), Muppets, Muppet Babies, Fraggle Rock, Star Wars (Yoda), The Dark Crystal... Yeah, this man is a hero of children. He, as well as the Chuckle brother's were essential to my childhood. Children of today are being gypped, for the most part, buy the stuff that is now being made for them.

This video does the exact opposite of making me sad. It actually makes me quite happy and hopeful for my own future. Seriously, think of it this way - Look how many people are really celebrating his life. I want to accomplish things like he did in my life, don't you?

Whenever I do feel down I actually watch this video to remind me to just keep trying in life and one day I will achieve my dreams.

They could have found someone else to voice Kermit for it.
