    What do you want from Beaucedine Glacier [S]?

    As I'm sitting here eagerly anticipating when SE will release an update teaser showing the release of Beaucedine [S], I'm brainstorming what the zone will entail. Anyways, I'm just bored and curious as to what others have in mind for this zone?

    Do you think access will require mission progression? Will it be a high level campaign zone? What kind of mobs will be there? NMs? Anything else interesting?

    fyi, the zone stops at the lake, the path north of the lake, to feiyin, is blocked by snow

    I hope it has nice music, and isn't quiet like the regular bcd. I expect everything in the zone will agro, tons of high level gigs/demons/imps around. Campaign will most likely be against Dark Kindred + Freelances only (I don't think the other 3 beastmen will help like how the Kindred help them), and be hard as fuck. But it'll probably have all 3 nations doing attacks at once.

    Nice music, a REALLY good atmosphere.

    When I first landed outside Jueno in the past, admittidly [spelling..] the zones were quite empty but the background track and the "destroyed" land atmosphere made up for it, I really pleased and happy because it felt "good" to be in those areas, in a way, for some reason I can really feel that a war is being taken place and and coupled with some seemingly innocent creatures (them pink mandys) it really hit the nail for me.

    So I'm expecting the glacier/xacarbard to be similar, but needs a big feeling of "fear" and it needs to be "depressing". Perhaps proper dead people from all nations and even dead "pets" (i.e. lizzies/raptors/or whatever else is found out there) as seen in the WoTG trailers. I want a rotting feel.

    I was thinking something along these same lines. We had this discussion in LS a few days ago, interesting. I am curious to what others think of this as well.

    Remember that feeling you had as a newbie when you went through their at first to kill Shadow Lord? I want that.

    Oh and lots of nice charmable mobs and prey of the right levels to make it a kick ass place for BST75... I can dream.

    Ugh, I hope we get more allied units at the same time, or SE tips the balance in favor of the allied forces again. As it is, it feels like the units are spread too thin already. We definitely do need some areas that all 3 nations can attack, or the influence display just doesn't make any sense.

    I'm hoping for some merit spots, too; I'd think the mob levels would probably be at least on par with the beastmen strongholds, which have a spot or two already. Imps would be cool, but I'd try demons.

    A new type of mob they haven't showed us yet, that's what I really want. Kinda like when SE added Wivre, Soulflayers, Moths, Porroggos

    Mouriches(sp) with flower shortcuts. I'd like to see Shadow/Dynamis lord appear in campaign, or NPC's wearing AF2.

    New mobs would be nice or really nasty versions of the mobs elsewhere in the past. I want to feel, nervous. Good music would really help. I want to feel that going on to Xarcabard [S] is going to be really freaking scary

    I'd like to see something akin to the ghosts of the dead miners in gusgen mines appearing & disappearing, maybe with "corpses" of fallen friends/foes lying slain across the battlefields, and I would like to see campaign battles with multiple targets (akin to how mobs can have several targets in the cities). Mobs got target a fortified? run to target b, do as much damage you can before mobs appear. etc. And for the love of god, let us NPC warp up there.

    Porroggos are friendly in the past, at least they are in Windy where they are NPC helpers.

    I think glacier[S]'s music is already floating around somewhere (though that might be xarc's...) I'm pretty certain Kindred and the allied nations will get northlands-only units. I'm 100% sure the Kindred will, at least. They need static units, like the other powers have (always in the same area, whether attacking or defending.) What I HOPE for are two more Maws to fit the last two field zones (that exist in both time periods) and following that, a system wherein you can enter one maw and exit from any other maw past or present. A real merit camp would be nice. Imps would fit up there, being demons & all. Oh, maybe more epic battles. I always imagined battles being dotted all over the place, not just centered around the stronghold. maybe they could have mini-strongholds around the zone you can warp to and from during battle. Myabe each nation gets their own stronghold (though I doubt that one.)

    Will never have that feeling again. . . No one wants to attempt shit at level 50s because everyone has a high level job now. Like avatars (Celestial not fenrir or Diabolos) people used to shout to do em DD level 60 mages level 50 now people want a pt of 75s when 75 can solo them while beating off in the other hand.

    It should be on the WoTG.zip. It's called Snowdrift Waltz. It could be Xarcabard, but if it is then we're clearly not getting any BCD music.

    Well, if you think about it rationally, no zone that doesn't have music in the present has it in the past, so odds are Beaucedine will have no music. It is vaguely possible that Beau and Xarc will share, but that might make Xarc less epic, so I doubt it.

    I'm curious if the Northlands region will work in a similar way using a 5 zone progression. For instance Glacier > Xarc > Castle Keep > Castle Zvahl > Throne Room

    Esthetically I expect it to boring as fuck, and obnoxious to walk around in. So hopefully theres something worth doing there.

    considering the limited amount of potential endgame zones they added with wotg, i think Xarcabard/CastleZvahl/ZvahlKeep might work similar to Altaieu/Huxzoi/Ruhmet, if they decide to do a sky/sea based pop nm system.

    as far as what i want from beaucedine... in addition to some of the things that people have said, it would be great if they added a new mob class, a new hnm that can spawn anywhere in the glacier (or maybe like 1 of 5 spots, just something to prevent botting),

    maybe throw in some purple dahaks, or even a few behemoths... i've always wanted a zone with roaming behemoths, but maybe put like 4-5 on 20min timers or something and make them drop like 5-10k gil each with a super super rare drop of behemoth hide. as far as other mobs, i'd say some ahriman, some fomors, some imps, i think they'll reserve demons to xarca and put yag/quadav/orc in, like dynamisbcd. maybe some gigas also with Glacier Smilodons
