    Dreamland- Dynamis

Hi guys/gals first real post but anyways,

Next month my ls will be doing a dreamworld zone(probably Bubu) and of course hopfully more in the future . I have 0 idea on what to expect because Ive never been there before and I'm also one of the main pullers lol. I'm just wondering what info you all can give me on the zones. We usually go in with about 23-30 members consisting of 4-6 BLM 1BRD 1-3 NIN about 6-9 DD and 2-3 PLD and the rest are assorted RDM and WHM. If there's any changes there please tell. We tank with PLD yet and hold stones with ninjas(i guess thats old school way now.)

Hows the currency rates? Ive read about the randomness of the 4x 100 piece currency drops in some older posts.
How the zones are pulled/sac'd/etc. I know most of the pulling is self explanatory but that can only go so far with Dynamis lounge/bums maps, as other shells do different things that work for there group(firsthand experience there lol) some of them may work for mine.

Any info is great at all.

You have a good amount, I'd probably change the nins for DDs. A war/nin could hold a stone, while still meleeling other mobs, although blms should be able to solo/duo them easily. Tbh, there's not many stones that you can. The purpose for CoP dynamis is for the -1 AFs and accessories. Stones only pop normal city/ice mobs. Be prepared for lots of links, being your first time. For Bub, you'd want to send a few people, 3?, to search for the ??? to unlock your subjobs. Locations are on dynamisbums/wiki maps. While doing this, everyone else has free time, so you can start pulling dragons, which lock out their respective ability from the megaboss.

You'll probably want to lock out heavy stomp, body slam, voidsong, benediction(quadav sac pull), and lode/thornsong (since they're near the ramp). You can probably do with locking out less abilities since thornsong can be dispelled (i think), and lodesong isnt that damaging (gravity?) Also the megaboss is pretty stunnable. While doing all this, if you can spare it, have one guy find/follow Apocalyptic Beast around, the megaboss. We also used the Bibiki bay ramp entrance as the main camp, using the level difference to save the mages from dangerous aoe. Oh, if thornsong is up... don't let your DD melee themselves to death, spikes hurt a lot.

After the boss is killed, cop mobs pop, right below the ramp is crabs which are easy except the need to be dispelled tons. From there, we went west to the eft, which can link easily, tp move suck. We'd then go back east, north of the ramp to fight ravens, dhamels, and then further north to mandies. Mandies also suck with dream flower (which poison pots dont block) and can link bad. Camp away from the narrow hall before the mandies, maybe setup a sac pull/kite for this.

As long as your blms aren't sucky, you should be able to handle anything, except maybe a 20 eft or mandy link. This was the strat we used, I'm sure people have better, but this worked for us.

Other zones are pretty straight forward, although harder imo, those bosses need to be zerged more where Bub's is manageable. Qufim's SJ unlock is also a ???, Valkurm's is killing 3 Nightmare flies. Kill X mob to unlock X ability, chainspell stun, zerg boss. I probably wouldn't expect more than 200 coins, w/o 100pieces. In Valkurm, there's a few places where you can pull stones off of sac pulls for a chance at a 100piece, same for Qufim.

Fishstix pretty much covered most of it, but there's a couple things I'd like to add / explain differently / change:

    A) Don't kill the WHM quadav in Buburimu. It's a waste of time/exp. Instead, when you pull AB, kite it around a little bit until you see Hundred Fists, then once HF is over, bring it to the group. Tell them to just save TP/abilities until Benediction goes off, then go all out. If you've killed the right things, it'll be dead before Manafont is finished.

    B) The dragons you should kill are Voidsong, Thornsong, Heavy Stomp, and Body Slam. Thornsong is extremely important, because it turns AB into a pussy in every way.

    That's pretty much it.

Ignore Wizerd.. killing WHM quadav takes about an extra minute if you're smart about it (namely, sacing it over to your group while they are busy with dragons). I've killed boss in like 30-35 minutes with 14 people =/

Your setup only has 1 BRD, which is highly detrimental to a zerg.

Ok, just stumbled on another question after reading another map. After killing AB the dragons disappear. What about the rest of the rest of the beastman mobs? Do they despawn as well? An assumption is yes, because they are not on the second dynamislounge map and also some of the nightmare mobs spawn in the places where beastmen are.

All beastmen remain, dragons are replaced with Nightmare Monsters.

The time you take to kill the WHM NM is not worth the time you save by killing it, plain and simple.

We regularly kill Buburimu boss within 15-20 minutes of entry with 18-20, using the strategy I outlined. I know about how long it takes AB to use Mighty Strikes -> Hundred Fists -> Benediction, and often it takes a good portion of that time to even bring the thing back to your camp. Why kill the WHM NM when you could save a few minutes not killing it and just making your life a whole lot easier without any deaths?

If you only start pulling AB *after* you finish with the dragons, then yeah, you're gonna waste time.

Also, I agree about the bard thing - in Valkurm and Qufim you'll want at least 2.

Back when I did Dynamis we would kill the WHM (sac pull) while the runners were hunting down the subjob release ???. Then would begin the dragon hunts.

Han has the idea I was thinking of of doing, since my group will be new to the zone it's best to just take the extra min or two and sac the NM, thanks for the info on the beastmen mobs as well Lord.

You kill Whm NM cuz he drops Whm penis hat. (considering Ive seen like 5 hats drop off him, im assuming NMs in there work the same as Xarc NMs do)

Pull the Voidsong dragon first, while waiting for subjobs to be unlocked.

He spams Voidsong and hits fucking hard. He's not very straight tankable because of this, and buffs being erased from the subjob unlock won't make a difference because you won't have buffs anyway. It lines up quite nicely. Then once you get subjob unlocked *and* Voidsong dragon killed, you cast buffs, not before that.

And I don't think the NMs in Buburimu work like that lol.

Can you explain why i can account for at least 3 of them first-hand, and i heard of 1 more dropping after i left that LS? The odds are so against that and its way too specific to be coincidence.

Voidsong dragon happens to be the closest dragon as well so that works out nice. On your runs what ??? mark has the most frequency of popping? On other note, how is the difficulty of the Nightmare mobs ? Comparable to the mobs in glacier or say a Mid-City as example? I know this is a dumb question but how are the af-1 and belt drop rates? Just as bad as everything else is my first assumption >_> lol

I dunno. They *could* be, but I think there would have to be one NM per job in all 3 CoP areas if that were the case. There might be, I don't know. Is there? XD

Each of the beastman NMs in Dynamis-Buburimu will drop AF corresponding to their job. There are 15 NMs, one for each job with relic armor at the time the zone was released.

There are zero beastman NMs in each of Dynamis-Qufim and Dynamis-Valkurm so it doesn't apply in those zones.

Seems kind of odd that SE would allow you to target certain old AF in Buburimu but not the other two levels in Qufim and Valkurm. *shrug* oh well.

It's true Wizerd, We'd target specific NM for AF along the way of getting nightmare. BRDs would cry because we weren't going to the yags since the AF accessories from around that area are out of reach and/or sucky (Scorpions/Uragnites).

We've gotten BLM off BLM, MNK off MNK, RNG off RNG, BST off BST NM. It's not a coincedence, it's how it works for that zone (and how it should work for every zone honestly).

I'm with Lordwafik there that's how it should be one set of nms per zone that has a higher chance to drop that persons AF... but that would be too smart .
