How do you "Un-Truncate" search results?

i constantly use "/sea all > items" every few hours, but recently the list has been cut off halfway through the "Selling" section and says results were truncated. whats an easy way, if any, to see the rest of the list without searching for each letter such as "/sea all m > items", and "/sea all n > items"?

Well, most search categories have subcategories. When you look for the Item category, there are 3 subcategories you can search in:

Want to Sell

Want to Buy

Want Other (mostly dynamis stuff, so it's annoying).

When you do your full search, if you hit enter or (controller action button) on the top of the page, you should be able to search sub categories.

I could be wrong, but that's how I used to search for items when stuff got truncated. Otherwise, if a subcategory is truncated, I don't think there is a way to "untruncate" it.

You can't untruncate, but you can add -name to have the names sorted in reverse order, Z-A, so you get names you didn't see before.

Wow I never knew about the -name. Apparantly +name puts it alphabetical order. And you can do -/+ level, and -/+ rank to add extra sorting. /sea +job seems to work a little bit... would be nice for setting up parties in dynamis type events when ppl of the same job are sorted together.

Okay, I think I've got this figured out. +Job sorts first by jobs, then alphabetically. The only difference is that the ToAU+WotG jobs are lumped in with one job from the first 15. DRKs and BLUs are together, so a BLU whose name begins with "B" comes after a DRK who starts with "A" and before a DRK who starts with "C". The order is

DRK + BLU
BLM + SCH
BRD
BST
DRG
MNK + PUP
NIN
PLD
RDM
RNG
SAM
SMN
THF
WAR + COR
WHM + DNC

If you do -Job, it sorts that group in reverse, but preserves ascending alphabetical order for names as the sub-sorting rule.

Edit: Did DRK used to be called "Black Knight" in beta or something? It doesn't make sense why the rest of those are in alphabetical order (for the first 15 jobs) but that one is out of place.

Thought I'd point out that while /sea all truncates at 40, /sea region truncates at something higher. That option might keep you from having to run to one part of jeuno or another and do individual /sea in the local area.
