I rarely make threads but does anyone else have a special place in their heart for the Timesplitters series like me? I absolutely loved 2 and 3. Not only for the remarkable single player and quirky multiplayer, but the level creator....

4 Is officially announced, finally. They hinted at wanting to make another one for years, but now its on their site and Kotaku is talking about it.

It's back! Featuring even more crazy characters, devastating weapons and heart pounding hot sweaty action. It's funny, it's frantic and it'll do things you've never seen before! No, not naked girls, even better than that! We can't tell you the details yet, the monkeys have a loaded banana pressed against our skull, but this game will take the first person shooter to gaming nirvana. Save the world or die laughing, Timesplitters 4 is coming to getcha!

The poll on "Which system you want to see it on" is interesting. At this post the Wii and PS3 were nearly tied at a 10% margin over the 360. (probably due to haze)

I only ever played 1 but I loved putting max bots on a map with some crazy weapons and just everything blowing up around you.

Yesssssssssssss, TS2 was probably my favourite ps2 game, never got around to play TS3. Definitely going to pick this up once it comes out.

Fucking nice. TS2 was close to perfection, and FP was absolutely fantastic albeit a little less epic than its predecessor (probably due to the fact that the games are quite similar). Here's hoping they give a massive increase to the memory available for custom maps, I want to expand my super-awesome Virus level.

God, i loved making maps and playing virus tag, and SHIT WHO CARES CUSTOM MAP MAKING FUCKING ROCKED.

Oh, and the story levels were amusing too.

Here's hoping they implement challenges again as well. Getting Platinum or even just Gold on the majority of them was so bastard hard, but still insanely fun. I hope the story mode is similar to 2's since I preferred it to FP's; probably because there's a lot more variation when you're not restricted to a single character. Plus levels like Siberia and Aztec Ruins were just legendary.
