Cursed Breastplate (need smithing on ifrit too)

My first question is, do you really need smithing100/leather60/gold60 for this one, or the leather/gold requirement are lower?


What image should the crafter get to lower the chance of break (would leathercraft image decrease the chance to lose an hide?), and what's the general success of this craft?

Last question, anyone know a blacksmith on ifrit who got goldsmith/leather sub? I cant find any.

Think there are a few in LM, you could ask Twig, or you could bug Volrath on AIM to unquit for 30 secs and synth for you.

Unrelated: You were lookin for a 100 Goldsmither before Einherjar yesterday. Turns out Kuick is Lv 100 GS. That little taru has everything. So if you still need 100 GS, send him a /tell.

There's nothing in that list that isn't at least level 89, and 89 is the item in the main craft. So to answer your first question, yeah, it's probably 100/60/60.

To your second question, support won't really help at all any which way. What would help is finding someoen that has a fire set in thier moghouse and a Blacksmith's sign. While they don't reduce your break rate, which is fixed once you hit par for the level, it will reduce your cnace at losing items. More specifically, I break Cursed Hauberks(Same requirements roughly cloth instead of leather) about 2 in 12 break. Pretty much like clockwork, I have 2 failures per 12 pack. Of that, I lose only 2-3 materials out of 8 each time using overwhelming fire energy, no sign.

Shouldn't be too hard to find a smither with that craft set though, it's the same thing for Cursed gear and a few other random synths..

Actually, finding a NA smith with those sub was kinda hard on Ifrit. I asked pretty much everyone and only found one (Ringwyl) who log in more than once per week.

Waiting for Cerb hides to pop on AH to get this started....can't wait to post a picture the pretty explosion.

1/12 is better than what I heard. I've seen a few 25% break rate horror story out there, which isnt nice to see when it cost 3-4m per craft.

Yeah, I was doing out of 6 attempts = 1 will break. While the net result is a 1:5 ratio of break to success, you are correct.
