Souleater Resist Questions

Hey, I couldn't really find a thread specifically talking about this. Is there a list of mobs that Souleater builds resistance to? I know obviously AV and some Einherjar bosses do, but I was wondering if anything else does?

The reason I'm asking is the last 2 weeks I've tried Souleater-zerging Nyzul boss floors 60/80 with M.kris. I'm relatively new to SE-zerging stuff myself, but I'm familiar with the concept and how to do it. Last week, I tried Nyzul Khim and was doing like 180-200ish/swing which seemed normal and everything was fine. Last night I tried it again on Nyzul Hydra and got completely different results. I had about 2500 HP most of the time(it sometimes dropped down to about 1200, but never below), but my swings started out around 90dmg, then 80, then 70, 60,40,20,5,4,3,2,2,1,1,1,1... yeah. I know Hydra is resistant to piercing and I was using MKris, but I don't think that would've mattered for souleater. I forgot to take screenshots last night, but I noted that he didn't use any shields while I was zerging.

Anyways, the way the damage went down looked similar to how SE builds resistance on other mobs, but I thought Nyzul Hydra wasn't one of them. Can anyone clarify what happened or does Hydra build resist? Thanks!

Additionally, it would be nice if someone could list all the einherjar bosses that build a resistance.

Could have sworn I was reading a random thread and someone mentioned how Hydra builds resist to Souleater in Nyzul.

The main thing you didn't include, is if you were using a Soldier's drink (increases damage dealt).

I think that using that does extra damage that's not picked up by Blood Weapon. But really, not sure, just a theory, try it next time without if you used it, if not, cool, then it really does have Souleater resistance now. lol

(psst: it's easier to kill them via non-SEBWzerg, I've once gotten JAs locked a while back and thought it was WSes too on 100F, and we still managed with only 5 people to win (6th was a 2box THF for TH/status cure only).

yeah, we still managed to win fine, i'm just in a small ls where i don't have the opportunity to SEBW zerg stuff (let alone come as drk), so having a small controlled setting where i can play with drk is nice.

I am starting to wonder if the weapon you are using determines the resisted rate (skill lvl in another word). Since obtaining BZ, I haven't really gotten resisted much while zerging despite doing lots of nyzul and other stuff. Alot of ppl who have reported getting resisted are mostly KC, MK, Ridill users, I am just wondering. I will keep an eye on Hydra next time, but I am pretty sure that I didnt get resisted. Tho it really dies too fast to tell.

I don't have experience with SEBW on him, but I know that Hyrda in general has some flat out wacky resists, the last run we got of him I watched someone with a Body Boost and 300 TP open the fight with Spirits Within...and do 0 damage. We don't take PLD to Nyzul so I'm not sure about if Atonement is the same on him, but I'm more than willing to bet it's a Hydra-specific thing.

I use BZ and get resisted on einherjar bosses (where applicable) just as much as 1h zerg users.

SE seems to be affected by weapon resistances.
Atleast I've seen on baho v2 bz did more dmg than KC per swing because baho has a resistance to blunt.

It really doesn't make any sense but whatever.

Hydra had his phys shield on i guess.... my static did it yesterday, and he had shield at start. Then our war did a 3k steel cyclone when shield was off. Hydra is weak without phys shield.

i'm only kc in my ls, last bahamut v2 i did 25% of the total dmg and we had about 4 bz on it and about 7 other dd's (mostly sam). bz's did about 1/2 or less of my dmg on bahamut v2. but yes hp did go down on me cuz of the blunt resist by about 10-20hp/swing.
