If you ever played ROAN on the 360, it's a better title overall. The mission mode covers the story kind of loosely, not quite as scene-for-scene as the 360 games though. I'm at something like 15:00:00 of gameplay, and I just hit 52% completion on the mission mode.
The game is beautiful in terms of it's looks, it easily blows every other Naruto game out of the water. The giant fights are amazing too, and great usage of quick time events. The fighting mode plays out to the point where it looks and feels like an actual fight from the show, instead of a clunky Tekken style fighter that doesn't really capture the series' iconic fights. The substitution jutsu from guarding at the right timing and being able to fight running up and down walls = hot sex.
The only things I can really fault it for are overly simplistic battle controls (every combo is basically slamming on the circle button nonstop and pushing in different directions, and triangle-circle for the customizable jutsu, triangle-triangle-circle for ultimate), and a surprising lack of any sort of online multiplayer. Overall, it's a pretty impressive game that only has a couple faults.
I hope they make one for Shippuuden and improve on the game itself, but I think it's definitely worth buying. It can get a little repetitive at times, but it's a good game overall.
