Einherjar Ampoules Items

Hello,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Anyway, I've been doing Einherjar for a long time now, and for the majority of the time I knew what items I wanted. However, now it isn't very clear to me.

I have gotten Omega Ring and Morgana's Choker, and I have about 23.5k ampoules sitting at the NPC.

I have a BLU, a BLM, a SMN and a RDM. The items I think would be the greatest upgrade would be either on of the capes or the iota ring. I currently use Errant/Altruistic/Prism/Blue+1 on my mage jobs (Blue+ for Sorc. ring). I also use a flame/sniper combo on my BLU.

So, would it be worth getting one of the Stat+5 capes, because I can't (at the moment) afford an Ixion Cape, nor do I have an LS who kills Ixion regularly, is the -MP or -HP and -vit(on Gleeman's) worth 1INT? Would it be worth giving up 2acc for the semi-useful but not game breaking stats for BLU?

Any advice or opinions would be appreciated. I also looked at the necklace for BLU WSs (over Chivy Chain), and decided it wasn't worth it, thoughts? Or should I just save for the Eyepatch I probably won't ever end up having to use.

Also; in the process of leveling WHM(65) and SCH.

No, capes aren't worth the 15k ampoules. I don't know how DEX/AGI/VIT affect BLU but if you're going to buy one of the three anyway, buy that. If it's not that good for spells, don't waste the ampoules because it's stupid to melee in if you have an acc ring already and you're a 1-hander.

The Kubira Bead Necklace is actually very nice for Cannonballing. Iota isn't terrible for the big-3 either. You'll lose 2 acc but you're adding DEX for the mod so... and it's not that bad for cannonball either, there's better, but having one piece at the cost of multiples might be worth it.

Iota ring is the same as sniper if you have odd total dex (e.g. if you have 70+13 dex from gear except rings, it will give 5 acc), since 2dex=1 acc.

Gleenman and Ixion give the exact same stat (5 int) one is 5M the other is free. The -enmity will not improve you either. Also you got rdm and blm so you can use Gleenman with both jobs, while rdm can't equip ixion . So go for gleenman.

The difference between Gleeman is actually 40 MP, -2 enmity and smidge of magic defense from mnd. You wont do more dmg in a ixioncape, but overall its clearly better, saying anything else is just stupid.

I use Ixion cape for BLM and Aslan Cape for RDM.

1) MND doesn't reduce magic damage beside lowering slow/paralyze effect and banish/holy.
2) A BLM has full mps only at the start of the battle, and there are much better options than ixion for this. Only reason you nuke in full MP is either you nuke rarely or rested your mp to full with the aim to chainnuke afterwards. Both are stupid.
3) For -2 enmity. If you pull hate after 7 tier IV with Gleenman you will pull hate after 7 tier IV with ixion. Tier IV/AM2 give huge amount of hate, -2 enmity won't change anything.

I can vouch that Iota Ring is pretty badass for BLU. I got it a month ago and I have no regrets. Nice mods for the Big Three and I'll probably end up getting the Beads next month since another BLU buddy of mine has been breezing through Imps like they're nothing ever since he got his.

Lemme leech onto this topic, as I'm saving for my next Ichor item. I have WHM and SCH.

To me, the Gleeman might be worth it (already got Omega) because it's 1 more INT, but it's also like 500k back in my pocket from Prism. Only downfall is the -mp from losing Prism and base -mp. Remember that Scholar can't use Ixion cape!

Aside from that, magewise, all I have to think about is the Choker and the kindalol -enmity earring. I'm not crazy about the choker, I hate -hp stuff... And the earring is nice if you can't get a Novia- but to me on WHM the coming Roundel earring love will probably be enough to make me happy.

Spend it on synth mats and sell em? Depending on your server it could be an option, and if you're not going for mythic, and not going to benefit from other items, any gil gotten would be better than wasted inventory spaces.

Same reason people pay 500k > 200k for 1 STR (Foragers v Amemet+1). It's all about optimization.

I don't know why people keep saying ampoules items are free, you're retarded. They're not free, they cost TIME instead of money which some people consider the same thing (time is money anyone?).

I'm a (fantastically) Bearded Hume, with no future in INT merits.

As for the cost of Ichor items, I normally end up paying 5-6k a run for 1-1.5k points. So an item is like 50k just via gil. As for time, well, Einherjar is one of the few events I do and since it's scheduled I can just get ready, afk, in and done.

I'd say get the choker for WHM since Hume have good HP, but if you're that hateful towards -HP (as I am, especially since I'm taru, I just fulltime Bomb Queen Ring now if the thing doesn't shoot fire) then you should save points, that earring is kind of a waste.

Novia is really damn cheap now and heaven's earring +1 looks prettier than that delta crap.

I could argue like you and say.. Stick with beetle earrings, you wont notice 3 atk in your dmg. Or.... Stick with Jaeger ring, its free and you wont notice 1 acc anyways,

It always adds up. It's a simple as fuckin that. If you wanna wear a piece that is only slighly inferior to another, im fine with it, go ahead. But dont walk around saying its better, or just as good. It's black and white that it isnt. Simple as that.

i got gleeman's cape/omega ring/morgana choker and i have blm+thf+war at 75(i obviously got it for war duh!) and im liking how gleeman's is working for me, no real MP issues. same for the choker+ring. they both help my mnd build on blm(+56 yeayea i know over board but im paranoid )

You should still hang onto prism cape for the times you use para/slow.. especially if you ever find yourself subbing blm(not as common any more but still good to have a MND build for es slow).

Only reason i settled for gleeman's is b/c i dont want, nor care for an ixions atm since i dont have the cash or does my ls have a TOD for ixion atm.

Morgana choker looks ok too, but that will be after i get my eye patch

I wouldnt spend any ichor on the capes tho.....prism seems enough, unless your pocket is really tight and need the 450k badly.

I have gleemans/aslan/morganas/omega ring for my RDM and BRD and I don't regret any of them a bit. I'm doing Einherjar for other reasons, and selling the mats is not really worth it.
