    Ixion Battle Areas

Hi, my LS is getting into the business of killing Dark Ixion on a daily basis and I was wondering on what some of the best spots to fight him.

Looking for good areas to pull that are generally safe, provide height distance for mages to avoid TP moves and, offer soft
targets for melees to build TP off of.

    Any advice is welcome, thanks.

Batallia Downs is easy, just pull him to any of the hills near eldieme entrances, with the little archway thing for mages to stand on.

Saru you can pull him to a huge hill somewhat in the middle of the zone (kind of?).. but tanks need to be positioned just right or they won't be able to get cured by mages.

Ronfaure you can pull him towards the bottom of the map, there's a waterfall-ish area that mages can stand on top of.

Rolanberry has all those little hill things with the fences.

    Jugner has all those towers...

I don't remember the other areas it pops in... but seriously it's not that hard to look around for spots, there are a lot of them. And it's not even really hard to do it without a height difference, killed more than once without it lol, just make sure your mages aren't stupid.

In Grauberg, if you can pull him that far from where he spawns, there's some Cannon-buildings (whatever they're called) near the tower that campaign battles happen at. I believe that's the right height to dodge Wrath/Spear/etc, but it is a rather long pull.

Fort Karugo-Narugo inside the fort has a plentiful of slopes and bridges. If you have 2-3 RNGs in your team you can just claim > shadowbind > run like hell, when it unbinds, next RNG shadowbinds. For longer pulls to ideal camps in places like FKN and Grauberg it's very helpful and RNGs tend to destroy Ixion anyway so having a few definitely helps. Downside of inside FKN fort area is that there are no TP mobs but it's not that long a run to outside or you can have a BRD or RDM for example hoarding up TP mobs and pulling them in.
In Ronfaure the Jugner zoneline with the slope up the battlement is also very good if a bit of a run from TP mobs. There's at least one Waterfall to fight at in Ronfaure but our melees used to hate it because of all the little near-invisible stones in the river that would block you from legging it like hell after a big WS so we've swapped to using Jugner zone.

If you're just getting into Ixion action and your LS is pretty new I'd suggest going to watch other LSes fight it a few times to get a feel of it. And yeah what Tsukasaz said... you don't necessarily need the height difference although it does make the fight a lot easier to co-ordinate. More important than getting a right location is for your tanks and healers to learn to communicate, lot of Ixion's status effects like bind are add effects of its melee hits and do not show in log.

Only problem with inside Fort Karugo-Narugo is the lag issue that could happen if a major Campaign Battle starts.

We are perfectly comfortable fighting ixion. We just wanted to know what the best camps were in each zone. We fought in Grauberg yesterday and those battle towers that are south of the campaign area are far from ideal (we had ixion use spear once and it hit everyone on the tower and another time it charged and ran straight through the tower, again hitting many mages). Also in Batallia Downs those archways on the mounds are fine, until Ixion decides to charge after tanks just ran from Zeus and it has an angle to charge straight up the hill. Jugner is another pain, we fight it on the path where it drops down and the banks are much higher level, but its quite narrow and doesn't give much room to manoveur.

If there aren't any better options than these in some of the shittier zones thats fine, we'd just like to know if thats the case
