Opera/Firefox browsers and windows media player

When I play a windows media file, they play, but the bar to rewind and fast forward is absent, unlike on IE. Is there any way to get this bar back on both of these browsers?

What version of Windows Media Player do you have? Even if you have the newest, problems with it can usually be resolved by the following:

1. Download the newest Windows Media Player installer from Microsoft's site, and install it.

2. Install the Firefox WMP plugin: Download the Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin - Port 25: The Open Source Community at Microsoft

Reinstalling WMP will probably also alleviate any problems in IE.
