Sooooo I was just wondering if it's possible to lowman (like trio) JoF? And if it is, what job combos etc are best for it. (We have loads of job combos~)

I was more of thinking SMN SMN BRD (with loads of yag drinks and ethers) using Garuda... but idk if that would even be possible.

Edit: Or SMN RDM BRD~ or w/e. Just thinking the BP dmg from Garuda would help hold hate on her and the RDM would kite while no Garuda~

I agree with this, I really don't believe you could afford not to. It would suck to lose over this. Shit happens, etc.

SMN/NIN SMN/NIN RDM/NIN (or SMN/NIN RDM/NIN RDM/NIN, which is also perfect for trioing Jailer of Temperance), with RDM kiting will work. I duo it (SMN) with my boyfriend (RDM) and it doesn't take terribly long. We have never lost. (Sometimes I use my sister's RDM as well for extra safety.) You can also do it BLM BLM RDM or some such if you wanted. BLMs are fastest, but not quite as safe (not too bad if your BLMs are experienced or constantly gravity Faith). SMN method is extremely safe, but not quite as fast as if you used BLMs, still not very long at all however. If your RDM has W.Legs, he should have absolutely no problem outrunning every single spell except Slowga (or even without them). Let Garuda tank while she can, RDM can toss Gravity on it if the situation is getting really dangerous for him. SMN has to be skilled at timing BPs when Gravity is not on. The first time you do it you may want to have a Stona outside of party, but once you're comfortable with it you shouldn't need it. Out of like 6-8 fights, Breakga has only landed on the kiter a couple times.

You can only cast Stona once before you're on Jailer of Faith's hate list, and thus get hit by Breakga just as if you were in the alliance anyway.

Wrong, if you nominate a WHM or SCH to only cast Stona they won't get hit by Breakga.

Then explain why I was hit with Breakga when I showed up late to Jailer of Faith, hadn't been invited yet, and only casted Stona on the other petrified White Mage as soon as I arrived to the battle.

I find 2x RDM/NIN 2x SMN to be the safest "fast" way to do this. For those who suck at BPing at the proper time, you can still Nether Blast to get hate. I've survived on RDM/NIN like 10 minutes occasionally without Gravity on, solo, and sometimes he'll just fuck you up regardless.

Hate really seems wonky on this, i've had PLD kiters or RDM/NIN kiters, and be on SMN, where casting Utsusemi pulled hate. I don't know if it's going beyond 30" that resets or losses you a massive a mount of hate but i've had situations where I get hit with Slowga, my avatar has hate, the RDM is slightly out of range, running back in to cast Dispel or Blind or something, and if I cast Utsusemi, I yank hate. RDM Cure IV's me, runs it around, doesn't get hit, I summon an Avatar, and i've got hate again, with my only action being recently taken being to Summon. Is this a "Oh, the RDM ran to 31", ranged Breakga, now it's coming for me because he got to 31" for a second" hate thing, or is there some weird hate rule?
