    COR-Burn on Greater Colibri

A fellow Corsair in my LS mentioned something to me about having done a Corsair Burn merit party on Greater Colibri.... something along the lines of 4x Joyeuse CORs (a couple with /WHM or /DNC), plus a WAR for voke and a RDM for curing. Obviously, each COR would roll a different pair of beneficial rolls.

I haven't tried this yet myself, but I was wondering if anyone else here might have before and what results were found? To me, the setup above could be tweaked a bit... most obviously by tossing a BRD in to pull.

I can get myself in 20k+/hr bird parties on my COR as is, but I'm interested in knowing if anyone has tried this and if it's good enough XP to give a whirl for fun sometime.

Honestly I'd be more impressed with getting four CORs in one place than the parse results from such an occurance.

That being said, it'd be fun to do, cards and bullets flying about everywhere

Maybe its just me but I don't really see much point to any more than 2 CORs in a PT. With two corsairs you can get Hunter's, Chaos, Samurai, Corsair's Rolls, really only missing out on Fighters and Rogues. Both of which would be meh compared to the benefit you could gain by having another Bard or DD in the party. Personally the party I would prefer for birds is: BRD/NIN (Puller) BRD/NIN (DD) SAM COR COR RDM. But hey thats just me.

Edit: And RDM or WHM for healer, guess I left that out.

Some people in my LS are working on doing a BRD-burn. 3x Blau/Joy BRD, SCH, COR, RDM. It's not going to do well, I'm sure, but it'll be entertaining as hell.

We do COR x2 BRD SAM SAM WHM here and there, closest to it. It's fun for sure, though really freaking expensive. After the first hour or so you're out of sushi and relying on Detonator, but with all of the buffs from both CORs and the BRD you can still maintain a high enough hit rate to do pretty well assuming the CORs aren't totally gimped.

Personally I would just rather do an MP-less party, something along the lines of SAM SAM DNC COR COR BRD.

    Corsair's Roll
    Ninja Roll
    Chaos Roll
    Hunter's Roll
    Samurai Roll
    Rogue's Roll
    Dancer's Roll
    and I guess Fighter's Roll?

I could see that being fun as shit, but I think it would be even cooler if you had like 2 WAR/SAMs and a BRD/NIN instead of one of the CORs, all 3 CORs go /WHM and heal and just let the WARs go batshit insane.

Ninja and Dancer's rolls could/should be thrown out and a good DD put in its place. Fighter's roll seems pointless with Joyeuse x4 as well. CORx4 seems like it'd be fun for a bit but I don't see how it'd be "uber."

Cor on my server are generally too cheap to actually shoot their guns outside of WS. So it'd just be a bunch of cor slowly 1h-swording a bird to death. 2h-swording if they had a dedicated healer who wanted to put up with that i guess.

Honestly, it'd have to be faster and better than other merit pts out there, and I'm not sure i see that happening (on my server).

If it's all about the joyeuse, i'd think a smn, dnc, or sch/rdm for en-effects might be good.

as COR/RNG and COR/NIN its generally faster DPS to TP in joyeuse with haste > acc gear and make a macro to switch all of your gear to ranged acc and attack gear for slug shot.

    Ideally I think it's

    TP

    Joytoy
    Walhara head
    PCC
    Suppa
    Brutal
    Enkidu's harness
    Dusk Gloves
    Snipers +1 x2
Amemet Mantle +1 (Now it's pretty debateable if that acc mantle is good though)
    Speed belt
    The ashuf talif haste pants
    Enkidu's feet

    WS
    AF hat +1
    Gorget
    Triumph earring x2
    AF Body +1
    w hands
    behemoth ring +1 x2
Amemet +1 or that ranged acc mantle
    Bucaneer's Belt
Dusk or Skadi Leggings (Depending on your accuracy)
    COR AF +1 feet

    Bucaneer's Belt ---> AF2 belt
w hands <--> skadi depending on acc
    bodies ----> skadi

Make sure it's NQ Dusk Gloves and not HQ.

Fixed. There was a guy (Genosync or something) in another one of the COR topics here that claimed he got 35k/hr with COR COR BRD BRD DRK RDM, and then proceeded to make the mistake of posting his gimp TP and WS builds afterwards. In theory, CORburns can work (hell, the thought of a Leaden Salute-burn on puddings even crossed my mind at one point or another), but your CORs need to be adequately geared - something that's sadly uncommon, even years after the job came out.

I regularly partied with Genosync in the COR COR BRD RDM WAR parties and every time it was 35k/hr. Samurai's Roll on multi-hit weapons is ridiculously awesome. With Joyeuse/Kris dual-wielding, you get about 25-35tp/round. Coupled with 27tp return or something ridiculous like that from Detonator, you're Detonator-ing every 7 or 8 seconds for 1k+ damage. Rolls were SAM DRK RNG and COR. Songs were double march. Warrior did nothing but voke and the occassional rampage every 4th colibri if not feather tickled. I personally don't bother with food on colibri as it's gone in 1-2 mobs anyways. Of course, this setup doesn't really work as well on anything that isn't as squishy as colibri.

Missing pisses me off more than anything. I could care less about the extra damage from Slug, it's not necessary. ;p
