[Ramuh] Nahiatsu a.k.a. [Kujata] Tygiuu- scammed me out of tons of money

Nahiatsu on Ramuh server (formerly known as Tygiuu when he was on Kujata server) has managed to successfully swindle me out of a very rare item. Unfortunately it's my own fault for being too damn nice and trusting.

A few months back I received a Bellonna's ring in a cross-server trade for a Cerberus Mantle +1 that I arranged through FFXIAH.com bazaar listings. Hoping to make a bit of a profit since my server has never had an AV kill, I advertised the ring for sale for several weeks. I finally found a buyer, Nahiatsu.

Nahiatsu transferred to Ramuh shortly before this deal was brokered. He is a Mandau holder, currently in the Insurrection HNMLS on Ramuh. Given the "one-of-a-kind" nature of this ring on our server, the deal was for 25 million gil and a pair of homam legs that he said he could get, as he claimed to run his own Limbus LS that did mercenary runs. After talking to him for several days, I got the impression that he was a decent guy. We both took a few days to "sleep on it" before mutually agreeing to go ahead with the deal. Nahiatsu said he had 12 million gil available up front and could provide the rest within "a week or two." As collateral, he offered to give me some expensive items to hold. I accepted 12 million gil, an Osode, and an E Bow and relinquished the ring to him that night.

I only wish I had known then what I know now.

In the days and weeks following the trade things began to feel a bit strange. Nahiatsu stopped responding as quickly as he used to do. When I asked about the next scheduled Omega run he was very wishy washy, saying he "wasn't sure" and that "people weren't around to do it this week." This was the answer whenever I asked. To date I have never actually seen him in Limbus. Wheather or not he actually does run a Limbus shell I do not know, I've not yet been able to find proof either way.

The other 13 million gil never materialized. A story was offered in an attempt to explain this delay. Nahiatsu claimed to have sent all of his gil to Kujata on a mule to buy dynamis currency, citing excessively high prices on Ramuh. He stated that he was working on a G horn and was on the final stage. Whiteshells are notoriously overpriced on Ramuh, so this was fairly believable. This mule supposedly had the bulk of his gil and he claimed to be slowly purchasing shells. Every week he said "next weekend I'll be done" but then on Monday morning would always say "Demo LS beat me to the bazzars, one more weekend."

Fastforward two months. For the last three weeks Nahiatsu has not acknowledged any of my attempts to communicate. He does not return tells in game. He does not return POL messages. He does not return to PM's on his own LS forums. He does not respond to threads posted on his forums saying "If you see Nahiatsu please ask him to send me a tell." He has apparently told at least a few of his ls mates that he "has a problem with his POL messages" and that is why he hasn't been in touch with me.

the fact of the matter is I see him changing zones, send him a tell, and he never answers. I ask my friends to send him a tell, he answers, and as soon as he realizes that the person is just telling him to talk to me he ignores them too.

I'm an idiot for trusting this guy. He's never going to pay up. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation with this guy don't trust him. If he wants to buy something from you, wants to join your LS, wants anything... watch your back. you could be next.

I know Bellonna's ring may not be the best item or seem like much of a big deal to people but it's not the value of the item that is up for debate here. It's the fact that he boned me out of 13 million gil and some r/ex gear. A deal's a deal.

Ok now I'm playing devil's advocate here so don't take it personally. But you're saying you received 12 million gil as well as an E-Bow and an Osode correct? If that is the case this tool didn't scam out of 13 million gil since you still have his items right? True he has scammed you out of gil but realistically it's 10 million, not 13. Regardless it sucks period but compared to some of the other warnings up here where people get shafted and lose everything, you got off a shitload better than most. Hopefully this guy actually decides to act like an adult and complete the trade, but let's face it, it's not happening.

What I don't understand, and I'm really not trying to give you a hard time, is why would you give him the item before the transaction is totally complete? This is like going to a grocery store and buying a gallon of milk but only paying half the price now. It wouldn't be happening.

Your observation about me still having his Osode and E bow is correct. On my server this amounts to approximately 4.5mil, leaving me down 8.5mil and a pair of homam legs. It's not the end of the world, but it sure is a kick in the pants. It really causes me to not want to trust anybody ever again.

It's just a huge downer for me because this sale was supposed to finish my relic for me. I've been working on it for a long time and this was going to me what got me there. Hindsight being 20/20 I should have just kept the Cerb +1 and sold it.

Hey Andy, sorry about all the miscommunication issues lately, like I said for some reason I can't see your tells or your messages, but it's not just you, a couple of my Kujata friends, and it's the RMT messages too. (Thank god lol) I sent you a previous PM when I saw your post on our boards but you never replied to that one, and a few Ins members said you were still looking to talk to me, so I'm sending another one.

While I think it's a little ballsy to be calling me out on Ins' boards, I understand that you want gil (That close to relic, who wouldn't) , and by request of Ins, I'm trying to resolve it since you seem to be pretty convincing of getting people to stick their noses where they don't belong. (It's not really appreciated that you have TAL members sending me hate tells, rather immature too, looks bad on your part, but I'm not PMing you to start drama here.) If you want an additional 8m, I can try and gather fund for it, but atm on Ramuh I'm @ 1m-ish gil, and I am looking at spending the last 5m of my Kujata mule before I transfer it over. I'd rather not be on bad ground with you, or anyone for the most part since it's not good for either of us. (I look like an unreliable person, you look like a whiny bitch, ect, ect.)

If I hadn't spent the initial half of the payment within hours I would be more than willing to accept this offer. Unfortunately, I spent it on dynamis currency the very night you gave it to me. I now recognize that you are offering this to me as an option but please recognize that it is not a realistic one for me as I am incapable of giving you money I've spent. I am interested in taking the 8m as long as you honestly intend to pay it.

In conclusion, your proposed resolution of giving back the ring is not a viable solution given the circumstances. Paying the other 8m is, and I'll just write off the homam pants. No, but you might start to care when you start losing mercenary sales because your reputation is shit. Then again, any customers willing to pay 500k for Homam Zucchetto aren't very bright to begin with.

And explain where the 13M (or 8M, whatever) is going to come from if the mule on Kujata is supposed to have it...but you've kept it there to spend the rest of it's 5M gil on currency? I was willing to consider your rebuttal until right there, especially given that the add'l 4.5M in items you traded were left out of the initial post/amount. But basically, you just admitted you don't have the gil, and even if you do end up paying him back, it's not going to be anytime soon because you have "to build 8m".

Things you could do to prove you're the stand up guy your missing PM shows you to be:

1. Have someone on Kujata SS the gil on your mule.

2. If you truly believe this is some silly shit over a virtual ring, let one of the leaders in your LS hold it until you've traded him the gil. (probably not something most people would do, but it seems almost as viable an option as your offer of "reversing" the trade).

But I'd wager this is just a grand case of stalling. I'm guessing you're getting your shit in order to server transfer again already, so all this is probably a moot point. Hopefully I'm wrong and you guys get this shit straightened out.

But seriously, as much as I would like to start drama about people (As that is my only form of entertainment now) and as much of a dick as I thought Tyg was, this story just sounds like Tyg promising more than he could deliver(at one time), like most people on final fantasy, most of us like to believe we're on some sort of balanced income per week so that we can make promises to pay something off within set amount of time, but in reality, everyone has their unlucky streaks, or their estimated amount of income in the game is far off. So, the lesson here is, don't sell to people unless they can pay you up front or offer you a -good- collateral.
