I don't remember the name of a text editor

I apologize for the newbish question.

I am used to making most of anything i program/script on notepad. But lately some of the editting of the script has got me frustrated with reptative tasks. I know there is a free text editor that will allow me to but/edit stuff as I would in excel (with rows and columns). The problem is I can't remember the name of that text editor. Basically it has the look and feel of notepad. I was wondering if someone out there can help me with the name, or any suggestions with a good text editor that would help with editing rows and columns.

found it in this thread it was crimson editor, where im allowed to column mode editing, instead of only row. And I also forgot about Notepad++, thank you ^^.
