Red Faction, War Machine, & Tron 3

Get ready gamers! THQ and Syfy will be bringing us the made for TV movie for the hit video game Red Faction. The film will star a who's who of character actors including Brian J. Smith (Stargate Universe), Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day), Kate Vernon (Battlestar Galactica), Danielle Nicolet (The Starter Wife), Gareth David-Lloyd (Torchwood), Tamzin Merchant (The Tudors) and Devon Graye (Dexter).
The movie will tie in with the Mars based games Red Faction: Armageddon and Red Faction: Guerrilla. I'm sure we'll have much more on this movie soon! With a strong cast like this, if it is a success I bet we see a series!

You knew this would happen, that Don Cheadle aka Colonel James Rhodes 2 would hopefully be bringing us a spin-off the fans would actually want makes my little black heart a kind of happy. Cheadle talked to MTV at Sundance 2011 where the question was brought up asking him if we would ever see a War Machine spin-off;

"They're developing it now, they're working on that. I think they've hired a writer, so we'll see how it goes. It would be a lot of fun."

Cheadle was also asked if War Machine would show up in the already crowded Avengers movie, he had this to say;

"I think he's kind of a lone wolf."

So, no War Machine in The Avengers but a movie seems likely because there's already that strong rumor that thewriter has been hired. As a fan of the War Machine comic books and him being a "good bad guy" I'm stoked that we might see a movie a few years down the road. Watch the video interview below.

AICN got some cool insider info today from someone who worked on the DVD extras for Tron Legacy about the Tron 3 rumors (possibly an early teaser?) and there's evidence now that makes up at least 3 scenes. Check out the low down from AICN and a few images leaks that only the Tron faithful with go crazy over.

The first scene includes Alan (Bruce Boxleitner) and Ram (Dan Shor). Turns out that Ram was apparently running the Flynn Lives campaign and he's frantically destroying all of that data and files, as Alan confronts him. Dan says, "Why did Kevin give you the cool name" So it's kinda cool how Flynn named him Ram and all, huh computer geeks!


Another scene has Quora showing up to ENCOM and getting hit by the press because she's riding Sam's Ducati. Quora tells them that she just spoke with Kevin Flynn, yesterday!

The last scene that was shot in this extra shoot involved text screens where you see the Father & Son. The Dillingers stating that everything is going as planned. These images should make the die hard fans really happy!

War Machine is a good supporting character... but I don't think he is liked enough for a major movie... I forsee that either not making it off the table, or crash and burn at the movies.

He was barely able to carry his own comic book series. Might work better as a straight to dvd.
