ffxi background res won't change? (Resolved - Vista64)

I've searched here, google, and windower forums.

I just did a fresh install of vista ultimate (64bit) with a fresh install of ffxi. I changed the proper registry keys to make the background resolution 2048x2048. Windower launcher gui confirms this. When the game starts, it looks positively dreadful. The window resolution is correct, but the background resolution still looks like it did with default settings. After exiting the registry keys still have the proper value. Anyone had this problem before?

Edit: Changing it with the FFXI config tool works, but doesn't let me go to max. Are the registry entries different for vista?

Edit edit: After much more digging I did find that the registry is different for vista64. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\PlayOnline US\SquareEnix

I'll leave this up for anyone who has trouble in the future.

what drivers are you using?

Make sure you have the latest windower GUI, i kept using the 3.3 one and ran to the same problem. Decided to redownload windower.. and the new gui has a 64-Bit Check box, that should fix your problems.
