    Trojan Problem

Okay, so I have a file that Norton caught. It comes up as Trojan.Brisv.A!inf and Norton can't get rid of it. It tracked it to a file in my Incomplete music download folder. I tried to delete it but can't. It hasn't done anything noticeable to my computer yet, so not sure what to think of it. I'm not that grand at computers, so requesting some help here.

Not sure what kind of info you may need, so ask if I can give anything else to help delete this.

    Thanks in advanced.

    Use:

    Malwarebytes.org

I guess if you give us a HijackThis log might help, but run that app in the link I gave you.

What does it exactly say when you try to remove this file/folder? I'm no expert myself, but have you tried to use another anti-virus to detect/remove this file?

Malwarebytes as TheStig said, then get some ComboFix love in there.

You can also try to use Killbox on the infected file that you can't remove.

You may find it helps to temporarily disable system restore while you're trying to remove it.

To note, it helps to do this once in a while anyway. Whenever I'm about to go to sleep and leave my computer on during a virus scan, I always disable System Restore, wait for it to clear everything out, and then let the scan go. When everything is finished, I reboot, re-enable System Restore, and continue along my merry computing way.

If you're worried about not having System Restore on, an infected backup will just re-infect your computer anyway, so use another method of backing up necessities if you're concerned.

Trojan problem? I don't think tech support is the right place to go for this man.
Make sure she takes a pregnancy test.

Also, some of them bitches like to cheat behind your back so a paternity test is a must.

It's not about who thought about it first, numbnuts.
It's about who did it first.

Good thing you're not an inventor.

You didn't do it first you dumb fuck, or I would have laughed at it for being original.

I read the thread to be sure no one did it first, so yeah... I guess I did.
