    ranking up in Campaign

I have been sifting through various pages for information and cant seem to find the most efficient clear cut way to rank up. Basically what I am looking for the minimum amount of allied notes/exp needed to rank up to each of the medal ranks. If anyone has any advice or can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Ive been told that 5,000 AN should be sufficient for each rank, just looking for confirmation. Another site mentions 40,000 at the higher medals. Is that per rank up or cumulative..

The most efficient way is to do stuff until it says you rank up.
If you can't do campaign often enough to rank up, you wont.
If you have enough time to do it regularly, what does it matter?

I've assumed that you have to maintain a certain number of points/day with current medal to rank up. The longer you wait without doing campaign, the harder it is to rank up.
I'm trying to sprint up to capped rank so I can hit the good Campaign Op if it ever comes to Garuda. Basically I just get 1-2 Merit points worth of xp from Campaign over a 5 day period while doing the Smokescreen III mission and that ranks me up. It hasn't failed me yet.

I'm pretty sure it only requires a few thousand AN. Remember the longer you wait, the more AN you'll need. So try to campaign lots in the first few days of your newest medal. I don't think I've ever got as much as 10k exp between ranks when waiting only 5 days. Campaign Ops helps. Sucks when your nation owns everywhere and you cant do the easy bombing the fort one.

It's easy to rank up every five days. Pound campaign like Liberace pounded man ass.

Well, I'd put THAT on a Campaign recruitment banner.

Point of me asking is that myself along with other HNM ls's dont have time to do tons of Campaign, between work/RL 2x Dynamis (sometimes more) 2x limbus 2x einherjar 3x salvage and 2x LS events. I can maybe sacrifice 30 min - 1hr of xp before i go to bed to campaign Along with the fact that is something that we should know or figure out if possible

I understand what it is like trying to live an everyday crafting , exp or even allied note routine and be in an active HNMls.It's nearly impossible. So just a lil hint that might help.Aegis Scream Def Ops,gives you a bulk of allied notes simlpy for particapiting in Campaign battle "Waves".
Meaning u get a reward of over 1.2k allied notes sometimes only after 2 campaign battles.

Also, get your LS to do the Beastman stronghold BC fights, you get like 2K Notes for completing those fights as well, so its just an added bonus to the pretty decent gear it can drop (the head pieces).

In my experience, I find that if I do campaign within the first week or so after ranking up, it only takes about 5K Notes to rank up. If I wait to rank up (like i've done now since I had to move) i've gotten over 8k notes and still not able to rank up, so it might be getting closer to 10K before they will rank me up.

Also, take a look at available campaign ops for your city, the ones with only 1 star next to them will yield you the most notes, such as like Vanguard XII or whatever the op is where you escort the soldier to the outpost. That is rarely done in my city ever, it takes like 10 min, and it gives like 1200 notes, so easy quick notes.

    Hope that helps.

If i get about 5k in exp, and then do campaign ops (deep cover 3 or slaughterhouse 3) 7 times on a single day every week, then i can maintain my rank through out the month.

    Max rank atm.

Right after the weekly update (0:00JST) all Ops will reset to 5-star ranking, so if you spam some of the easy solo ones, such as Slaughterhouse or Hawk Eye, they will return more Notes than at a 1-star a few hours later.

After the first five days of having a medal, the game assumes you use every single Op tag for at least 500~900 notes' worth of Ops, as your rank rises, and thus increases the requirements for keep/increase rank each day. This means you should make sure to use every tag for the most rewarding Op you can complete. (Rewards vary based on tier and star ranking.)

EDIT: On the other hand, if you get to the point where you can keep your medal or advance a rank, most of the time simply doing one Op a day will keep you there.

To advance as fast as possible but with the minimum of effort? I'd advise to get 5,000 notes per rank for Ribbons and Stars, then do all your available tags of Ops and check after five days are over. 10,000 notes per rank for Emblems and Wings should do it.

Then again OtherWiki trackers think this is sometimes too much and sometimes not enough. They seem to add notes and XP in an arcane formula.

I've never believed it's an AN requirement. I've gone Campaign Ops regularly, using all my tags on the Crafting one as soon as they're available. Gives nearly 7k AN per week, and that's not enough to stop me from losing the highest medal at the end of the month.

I had some time and did some Campaign last night though, and 8k worth of Exp (4k ish AN) was enough to go from losing my tag (had done no campaign apart from Ops this month) to holding it.

When I used to campaign regularly too, I found that one good session always ranked me up one medal, EXCEPT if there were no easy Sandy Campaigns for part of the night. Seemed that if I did too many "other city" Campaigns I didn't rank up, making me think that doing your own area Campaigns is always the easiest way to rank up.
