    How things work

When CEOs and the super rich cheat hundreds out of their livelyhood and they concoct ridiculous and highly unethical strategies to make as much money as possible without regard for anyone or anything, it's human nature, and they're just doing what they're paid to do.

When unions and the common citizen tries to get a better cut even if whilst doing so they may harm even the economy, they're SELFISH GREEDY CORRUPT BASTARDS WHO ONLY CARE ABOUT THE BOTTOM LINE.

    i see how it be.

When unions fight for their self interest, they're terrible, but when employers fight for their self interest, they're just human.

I guess the difference is since employers tend to be less, they still follow the mythical capitalist hero ideal of being an individual success story, and since unions are collectives they remind people too much of SOCIALISM. Of course, pay no mind that the employers have the advantage from the start, and the only way to assure fair treatment would be for workers to unionize in mass.

I'm going to go run a company into the ground so that I can deserve a huge bonus.

I mean what is the point of capitalism if you're just going to take everything from those that made it to the top?

When the average citizen wants the government to bail them out, especially when they might lose their homes, it's terrible because they might damage the economy by doing so.

When rich CEOs need bailout money for their banks, which they then spend on themselves and not on lending, lol give em more monies.

They need money to keep the squeaky wheel from falling off. Poor people would just spend the money on food and shit.

We can accept damaging the economy by letting companies get too powerful then give them exuberant amounts of money to not fix shit, but we can't accept damaging the economy for doing one moral thing for once in this whole mess.

OH AND THE GOVERNMENT! They're the real corrupters here, how could we have expected an institution to exist that is contrary to human nature and honestly thought they would behave ethically. Nevermind who's lobbying the government... the government is what's corrupting our markets!

wait wait wait, i just blew my own mind there, let me go over this again

We say it is natural for people to serve their own self interest, and when we notice that these same super rich lobby in the most hardcore fashion in the White House to get the government to see things their way, we yell at the politicians for serving their own self interest, even though according to what we believe, what they're doing is perfectly okay and natural.

Oh wait, or was it, since all people are greedy fucks, we shouldn't have a government because making an institution that acts out of altruism doesn't make sense... until you realize that if the existence of a government actually benefits said super rich as it did more or less when the Constitution was created then you realize government is inevitable.

So either you push government on your side, or government will be pushed against you.

Exactly. Its just the way things are. Some kids get bobo shoes from walmart and some kids get the Air Jordans. It will be like that forever. If we were all wealthy no one would be wealthy and we'd have nothing to strive for, we'd fall for sure then.

Exactly, we should just accept everything that comes with capitalism. We should continue to assume that economic power is not the same as political power, and that this economic power will not translate into political power in the sense of preserving monopolies, oligopolies and essentially turning capitalism into a system that takes the wealth in one direction.

Of course, we'll all just keep talking about competition, even though while competition everywhere else is SUPER, competition between workers and employers is WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Oh, that reminds me, let's keep having developed nations telling developing nations not to close their markets and become protectionist when they're in trouble and when the developed countries get their shit in a toaster they'll... implement protectionist policies!

No, Madouff is like Robin Hood, except he just steals it all for himself, and from the rich too.
