Just came across this, is it safe to use? Also, is there anyway to change the option of this plugin from using somepage to otherwiki or something?

Yes, it is safe, and yes, you can specify which website you want to use for search.

I just use the auction function for all my item needs, it's only 1 click away from otherwiki for the item then.

Well I do also, would be awesome if FFXIAH had a Firefox plugin for that.

But anyways after fiddling around with it. I found where you can change the site paths as you said. I mainly want it for the clock/moon phase etc for when im browsing at camps.

i seemed to remember that causing a memory leak out the wazoo when i last used it. is that fixed?

It works with FF3. As for the memory leaks. I don't know.

I used this plugin with FF3 and I have not noticed any memory leak issue. I changed it over to otherwiki after the sompage script debacle and it's been great.

Yeah, not that I don't like somepage. To be honest it has some better features than any other site currently has. But it definitely has a tarnished image after so many attacks in the past that went unnoticed by the admins.

is somepage even still updated? it's pretty much vanished from my memory at this point after all the times it got hacked. i was never at risk w/ noscript/adblock tho i still took the defensive stance and might be tempted to poke it from time to time (maybe on a linux VM for good measure. ^^) for some questions it answered better than other sites.
