Your city sucks. There's no good reason to have a subway and a 7eleven on every freakin corner. Stop having huge construction sites where no one is even doing construction. Why is it that half the people who have been living there all their freakin lives can't give me directions to the Hilton or the convention center? Your traffic is just plain retarded. Your food sucks and cost way too much. Your sales tax is also retarded. Your parking decks are way too expensive and their systems are all screwed up. I should be able to pay some guy for my parking on my way out, not try to use some retarded machine that shreds the freakin ticket by mistake.

The American Physical Society had their March meeting there this year. If you're in Pittsburgh you've probably seen a bunch of people in suits with name tags and big yellow books walking around downtown. It doesn't end till Friday but I came home last night.

as a person who went to college in pittsburgh (Duquense University school of Music), I feel fine to challenge your stance:

1. Contruction site with no one working.

This one's easy. Pittsburgh=Steel Mills=Unions. Need I say more?

2. directions.

There's a sayin in Pittsburgh. "You can't get there from here". And its damn true. Find out what happens when you take the wrong exit and end up in the Liberty Tubes, and try and get back to Squirrel Hill in less than an hour. :D

3. Food.

Now damn you. Goddamn you. If you insult my Primanti Brothers again I will hunt you down and remove your eyelids, fry 'em up, and slap 'em on bread with fries and viniagrette slaw.

4. Parking Decks.

Yes. You got me there. Just freakin walk. Yes, even in the rain that rivals Seattle. And what- no comments on the soot on every building "dahntahn" above the 10th floor still there from the Industrial Revolution? That was a gimmie you completely missed out on.

God I miss that city. No seriously. Some of the best small bars are in Squirrel Hill, Great Symphony Orchestra/entire music scene, and at least Pittsburgh has a true identity.....now that I'm in the South I realize how rare a city identity in a major metropolitan area is.

There's probably 30-40 around the country each year. The big ones are most notable though. Further Confusion (FC), Midwest Fur Fest (MFF), Furry Weekend Atlanta (FWA), Anthrocon, Morphicon (just cause it's in Ohio), etc.

The last big con I went to was Ohayocon (8,000 people!) which is about 2.5x bigger than Anthrocon (3k).

I probably should have made a topic asking about places to eat before I went there, now that I think about it. But I'm not changing my stance on the rest of my complaints.
