In celebration of The Smashing Pumpkins double album, goddamn that album had a high concentration of good songs, singles and sleeper hits. took some time to grow on you, I started playing all the soft songs and singles first when I got it. It was one of 3 CD's I bought with my first paycheck. Afterwards I listened to this song (X.Y.U.), Bodies and a few of the other harder ones. My gf mentioned this song today and I had forgotten how awesome the lyrics are, along with the pacing and delivery of the song.

probably the best sleeper hit on the album is Bodies, I always liked the no bodies/nobodys device. It's a pretty laid-bare song, obviously written prior to that doomsday death knoll ringing quote where Corgan decided he "[didn't] want people knowing what [he] was thinking anymore" and his lyrics got all cryptarded starting with the bulk of the 1st Machina album
