Ok so I'm at college, and up until recently FFXI has been running fine on the wired internet here. There's been random d/c's here and there, but nothing unusual that I don't experience at home. Anyway, I left school last Wednesday to go home for the weekend, and I came back last night and suddenly I cant play FFXI for longer than 5 minutes at a time without R0'ing and then disconnecting.

Basically, I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what could be the cause of this? At first I thought maybe the school did something to block FFXI from running (as they do with xbox live), but it seems unlikely that they would do that over a weekend while I've played all year without incident. Is it possible that maybe since it's the last week of school the IT department has decided it's ok to just let the internet go and start to suck, since it'll have less traffic over the summer? It seems like the internet as a whole is running slower, and certain pages I have to try to reload a few times before they actually come up, but this could just be placebo at this point. Any comments/ideas? Thanks.
