yesterday, TT and friends from all across cerberus server joined up for our 2nd battle against PW. we got it down to the point of getting pw below 75%, which means surviving and killing the respawned lamps and the mass AF. while we succeeded in doing that at the 75% mark, it wasn't in any efficient way. this is THE point to have a close look at before we give it another try.
of course there is still improvement left regarding all the forms before pw itself. however, our strategy doesn't need any major change going by the fact of how fast we progressed. sorting out the minor faults and as simple as it sounds, have more experience will make that part even smoother. given how complex the battle is, experience has a much deeper impact than in any other. our strategy was heavily based on what the ffxi endgame community was willing to share (mostly on bg) and what we personally learned from our first run. thus there is no point in hiding how we did it and i personally strongly believe in sharing our knowledge.
this fight is by far the most complex and entertaining i've ever witnessed, while it still feels doable. i'm sure if you can perfect a strategy fitted to your own ls, pw becomes a very fun and rewarding fight. our basic strategy was:
- have a blm ally with 2 pld/drk and 2 sch/drk. pld pull lamps, sch stuns them
- dd on pw itself only coming from rngs + 2-3 sam/thf to pin hate on the plds
- have a party for adds (molds) + a couple of strong melee dds
- have 1-2 rdm/drk for stuns @ khim and cerberus forms
- on hydra, exchange all rngs with the strong melees, because rng dmg is nerfed (about half)
- once lamps from cerb are down, whole blm ally immediately warped and job changed to melee dds. meanwhile cerb was hold
- on final pw form, dd alliances kill lamps

there should be 4 full sources atm, more to come once people finish the download. please leave it in your share and upload it as long as possible, thanks.
enjoy, share the lulz we had and maybe it helps towards your own attempt. as previously mentioned, our major goal now is to learn a way to fight the final lamps 1 by 1. once we figured that out, i'm 99% sure we can beat it. pw itself is very weak, as you may noticed at the end of the vid were we just do damage to see how the dds do.
