    tips on a build

I'm looking for a mid-range gaming desktop that I can play most games within the next couple years. I'm not too into having maxed out settings but it'd be nice. Anyhow here are the current selections let me know where I need to upgrade and where I can downgrade and not lose much but gain in cost effectiveness. Thanks.

I'd honestly go with a gtx 275/280 if you are planning on playing 2 or so years in the future. It is only about $30-50 more. (around 220-250~) I generally suggest staying within 3 tiers of video cards if you wish to continue on the card. There are exceptions of course. The current is gtx 295 -> 285 > 280 > 275 (280/275 are pretty similar in terms of performance) There are also higher spec/oc'd cards in each of those.
