directx9 trouble
Sorry if this is a dumb question i'm not that great with computers ,but was installing a new game and it got to the directx check. When it got there prompted me to install a newer version so i went ahead and did that. Problem is even though i ran the installer for newest versions it is not actually updating anything. If i try to install again it says i have current version and wont install anything yet version in dxdiag never changed and game still says its out of date.
Sorry for bad grammar been up all night trying to figure this out. post any specs or anything needed and ill provide them

Well there's a whole big file but yeah, your version is 9.0b and the most current is 9.0c. Have you tried upgrading to service pack 3 yet and then trying to upgrade?
-
After trying to install it through automatic updates it tells me my service pack 2 was bad and i need to uninstall/reinstall how would i go about doing this?
Or could i just download straight to SP3 to fix the problem? i cant seem to find it anywhere on windows update site and automatic updates wont work.

Sounds like some part of your OS is corrupt tbh. I'd reformat/reinstall to be safe.

alright i guess ill try that =/ such a troublesome pc getting a new one this winter cant wait
